Kentucky Derby Outreach 2018

Kentucky Derby Outreach 2018

I Love Jesus

Another Kentucky Derby Outreach and another rainy Kentucky Derby. We were blessed to have 35 evangelists around the country participate in Sports Fan Outreach International’s outreach this year. We heard the usual “God is love,” “God loves everybody,” again this year. For some reason it seemed like there were a lot of people this year that said I love Jesus.  [Read more…]

What Do You Idolize

What Do You Idolize?

Many people in America, especially young people, say they don’t believe in God. The religious group “none” is the fastest growing religious or supposedly none religious group of Millennials. But even if you claim no religious affiliation, you worship something today. You worship someone or something. So who do you idolize or what do you idolize?  [Read more…]

True Love

True Love

Last week a student handed me a note telling me that my method of witnessing is ineffective and actually does harm to the mission of Christians at MSU. She said Jesus declared that love is the greatest commandment and that we are called to love all, especially sinners. So is loving people in their sins really true love? Is it true love to validate people in their sinful lifestyles? Is it really loving people to tell them peace, peace when they have no peace?  [Read more…]

Great Time Worshiping Jesus

Ministry Update April 29, 2018

Kelly, Steve, Thomas, Joy and I had a great time worshiping Jesus Friday night. We sang several hymns to start the night. It was the warmest night we’ve had so far this year and there were a lot of people downtown. No matter how foolish we looked singing and preaching on the street corner, we really did have great time worshiping Jesus Christ our Lord.  [Read more…]

Wrath Of God Against Disobedient People

Wrath Of God Against Disobedient People

Is God angry with you? No, you say? How do you know? Have you repented from your sins and surrendered your life to Jesus? No, you say? Well, if Jesus Christ is not your Lord and Savior, then God is angry with you. The wrath of God against disobedient people includes yourself. If this is you tonight, this is a scary place to be.  [Read more…]

From Mockers To Hot Chocolate

Ministry Update April 22, 2018

It was great having Kelly and his son Steven join me witnessing downtown Friday night. We basically went from having mockers to someone stopping to give us hot chocolate. I got downtown first, so I handed out tracts until Kelly and Steven got there. Since I had some miscellaneous tracts, I just handed them out. I mostly had the 101 World’s Funniest One Liners and most people took them when I told them I had some jokes for them.  [Read more…]

My Lord And My God

My Lord And My God

We just celebrated Easter the first of the month and Easter is also known as Resurrection Sunday. I personally like Resurrection Sunday because it more accurately describes why we celebrate the event. Followers of Jesus are celebrating that not only did Jesus suffer, bleed and die for our sins, but He also rose from the grave. We serve a risen Savior. Do you remember what the apostle Thomas said when he saw the risen Lord?  [Read more…]

Mean Preachers The Day Before

Ministry Update April 15, 2018

It was a real blessing to have Brian join me at MSU on Wednesday. Brian handed tracts while I brought a message that was a little more confrontational than normal, challenging atheists about their illogical worldview. I wasn’t nasty about it; I merely challenged them to look at what they believe and look at the world around us. It was disappointing that Quinn who mocked me the week before while I was exhorting Christians, chose not to show up when I was challenging atheists. He was aware of what I was going to do, so I assume that he really didn’t want to be confronted about his atheism. After my message, I handed out tracts while Brian brought a message about how there really are no atheists (Romans 1:19-23).  [Read more…]

What If I Had Three Minutes To Live?

What If I Had Three Minutes To Live?

What would you say to me? Would you have any words of comfort? Let me give you a scenario: you are out driving on a country road and you come upon a bad accident. I’m alone in my car and I’ve run off the road where I hit a tree and a branch has impaled me. You are the first one to come upon the accident. You realize that an ambulance will never get to me in time. I’m bleeding badly and you estimate from my wound that I have three minutes to live. What do you say to me? How Do You Know The Christian God Is The Right One?

Ministry Update April 8, 2018

On Wednesday I witnessed at Missouri State University. Had a mocker or two and then Quinn the atheist buzzed by me. I told him that I’m talking to Christians this week about sharing the Gospel. But I invited him to come back next week and I would challenge his worldview. A few minutes later he came back and started reading Green Eggs and Ham out loud. It’s been several weeks since he’s come out to play.  [Read more…]
