Over the past six years I’ve asked many people while out street witnessing “are you a good person?” About 99% of the people have said yes to that question. I even talked to one young man who told me that he had just gotten out of prison one week earlier where he had served three years for stealing a car. I talked to him for a while and before I asked him the question I thought surely he will admit that he’s not a good person, but he didn’t. I asked him if he was a good person and he said yes, he was. I reminded him that he had just told me that he served three years in prison for stealing a car. So I asked him how he could still be a good person and he said that the reason he stole the car was because his family was hungry, so he didn’t consider it to be a bad thing since his motive was good. We see warning signs all around. There are traffic signs that say STOP, YIELD, DO NOT ENTER, WRONG WAY, ONE WAY and CONSTRUCTION AHEAD to name a few. Some household products have poison warning labels on them. We are told to watch for the warning signs for a heart attack, stroke or Alzheimer’s.

If you are entertaining the devil and worldly pleasures, please repent and believe the Gospel. If you are a professing Christian, you can’t claim Jesus Christ and continue entertaining the devil. When Jesus is Lord of your life, you give up the pleasures of the flesh and worldly pleasures. God tells us to be holy because He is Holy (Leviticus 20:26). Have you given up cussing? Have you given up filthy TV shows and movies? Have you stopped listening to trashy music? I’m not asking you to do this under your own power, but through the power of the Holy Spirit. When you are saved, the Holy Spirit lives inside you. When you are saved, your body becomes a temple of God (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). God resides in you! A couple of weeks ago I brought a message at MSU and a young lady became upset when I read 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and she came back and stood near me with a handwritten sign that said “God loves gay people too.” I guess she didn’t like the words in 1 Corinthians chapter 6 that says the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God nor the words be not deceived and more specifically the part that says homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. Have you ever been deceived? My wife and I owned a business for 17 years with some other partners. The main partner forced us to close down the company a few years ago. We were shocked and worst of all we were betrayed. The partner told us that we were like family before this happened. Then he didn’t pay us what he owed us for our share of the business.
