There’s only One who is Prophet, Priest and King. Jesus Christ is the only One who fills all three positions. Not the pope, not the president, not the health, wealth and prosperity false teachers, only Jesus. He is the One. He is the Prophet. He is the High Priest. He is the King. There is no other.
On Wednesday November 18, 2015 I was at MSU at the usual spot and a young man came up to me and wanted to know if open-air preaching (or as he called it – yelling at people) was really the best way to reach people. I was just about finished with my message when he interrupted me. I told him to hang on a minute that I was about finished. Last Friday night we heard several people say that Jesus died for our sins, but they were saying that we can sin at will because Jesus died for our sins. You can do whatever you want, because Jesus died for our sins. Sadly, these people are missing repentance. They are counting on a one time little prayer to keep them out of Hell, but it won’t do it. Without repentance, there is no salvation and Jesus never condoned sin. [Read more…]
Ministry Update November 15, 2015
This last Wednesday was Veteran’s Day. I very much appreciate the men and women who have served our country. I’m thankful for the sacrifice their families endured while the veterans served in the military. To all who have served, I want to say thank you for serving. On Wednesday, Aaron and I witnessed at MSU during the lunch hour. I thank my friend for serving our country. He served in Iraq 12 years ago. I’m grateful and thankful for his service. But I’m even more grateful and thankful that he serves our Lord and Savior. [Read more…]
I’m sorry that we missed the Ask an Atheist a Question Event that just ended because I have a question for you. Are you damned? I know this is a strange way to start the message, but I want you to really think about this. Are you damned? No you say? How do you know? What are you counting on? Your own goodness? Are you positive that you are not damned because you are basically a good person? How do you know that you aren’t damned?

“Aren’t all references to homosexuality in the Bible referring to rape?” asked Brandon. After talking to him for nearly an hour we got around to his sin that he doesn’t want to give up. Prior to this, he asked every question that he could think of. During our conversation, I kept trying to bring him back to the fact that he will stand before God on Judgment Day and none of these burning questions that he has today will matter at that time. He will give an account of every sin in thought, word or deed that he’s ever committed and questions about those who have never heard the Gospel will not be part of the discussion on the great and terrible day of the Lord. My friends and I are out here today because we believe in life. God made each of us in His own image and we are to obey Him. Please listen to these words found in Deuteronomy 30:10-20: If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
While I was open-air preaching at MSU on October 28, 2015 a student walked right in front of me and she was talking on her phone. I guess whoever she was talking to wanted to know what was going on because I heard her say “it’s just the crazy preacher.” Just the crazy preacher. I’m ok with being called the crazy preacher. Why? For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18). I’m ok with being called the crazy preacher because I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Romans 1:16). Sometimes we hear wonderful news. Maybe a couple who has tried to have a baby for a long time finds out that they are going to be parents. This is wonderful news. Maybe you get a promotion at work or your student gets good grades. These are wonderful things. Maybe you even say “Wonderful” when you hear something delightful, marvelous or when you hear extremely good news. [Read more…]

Aaron and I witnessed at MSU last Wednesday. A couple walked by while I was just starting my message and I was talking about CEO’s of large corporations. The young woman started dancing as she walked by singing “I’m going to Hell, I’m going to Hell.” I interrupted my message and told her that she is headed to Hell if she doesn’t repent and trust Jesus and it won’t be all dancing and fun and games in Hell. The young man with her was also dancing and he yelled back “God loves everyone.” I told him that he needs to read the Bible, especially Psalm 7:11 and Psalm 5:5 which say that God is angry with the wicked every day and that God hates all workers of iniquity.
