On Friday nights we typically pray, sing hymns, preach and sing hymns to end the night. What is the work of God? Notice, I didn’t say the works of God. Many of us can name various works of God; such as when God made the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1) or when God made us human beings (Genesis 1:26-27). God made the angels and Hell for the devil and the fallen angels (even though Hell hath enlarged itself and people foolishly fall into it by dying in their sins – Isaiah 5:14). Aaron, Brian and I witnessed at Missouri State University on September 14, 2016. The “free hug” professing Christians took our spot where we normally witness. So we witnessed at Strong Hall (where they have religious classes). We preached a couple of times and when Aaron went the second time, a crowd gathered and one of Aaron’s former professor brought her class out to meet him. They listened to his message and then she introduced her students to Aaron because she wanted them to see that the man is mild mannered compared to the open-air preacher. Yes, Aaron preaches hard, because eternal souls are in the balance. But he is mild mannered when talking about spiritual matters. Aaron stayed there answering questions for over an hour and a half. How dare you say that I need to repent and put my faith in Jesus. I had my back to the young man at MSU because I was recording part of Aaron’s sermon. The young man had earlier told me that we were hurting our own cause. I said why is that and he replied because Jesus always developed a personal relationship with people. [Read more…]
Before I talk about the preacher being punched, I want to tell you about witnessing last Wednesday during my lunch hour at MSU. I preached at Strong Hall (something was going on at our usual spot). It rained the whole time, but I enjoyed being there. This is where I started witnessing at MSU several years ago, but we moved to a different spot last year. Several students encouraged me to shut up as they walked by, but I declined to give in to their request. The truth went forth and may God continue to convict and convert lost students. [Read more…]
Romans 10:14 says: How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
The apostle Paul, writing these verses through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, asks the questions: 1. How can they call on the one they have not believed in? How can you call upon the name of the Lord Jesus if you don’t believe in Him? How can you be saved if you’ve never repented and put your trust in Him? How can you be rescued from the flames of Hell, from eternal damnation, if you have not believed on the Lord Jesus? [Read more…]
Hellbound sinner, Satanist, transgender, former Catholic, dancers and several Christians; I know this sounds like the lead in to a bad joke, but it isn’t. These are just some of the folks we encountered witnessing downtown last Friday night. Friday night was a crazy night. Before we even started, a group behind us started yelling that they were going to come over and kick our a____. Then some started yelling that they were Wiccans and others said that they were Atheists. But overall they didn’t want to hear us preach. Then while Kelly was preaching, an angry man grabbed the woman that was with him and wouldn’t let her go. Diana said something to him and he cursed her. Then Aaron confronted him and he cussed out Aaron. He kept telling everyone to stay out of it. [Read more…]
