Even in our current secular society, many people will profess that they believe in Jesus. We see it all the time in Springfield, MO as well as other parts of the country. A friend of mine that is an open-air preacher that lives in North Carolina recently posted a video of a cowboy that professed that he believed in Jesus. Before Kelly and Steven joined me downtown Friday night, I handed out tracts. A lesbian couple walked by holding hands, but I just smiled and offered them a tract. The young woman closest to me took a tract. I figured getting God’s truth in her hand was better than bashing her over the head with warnings that no homosexual shall inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). One guy told me that he’d received my literature before, but he still took a tract and thanked me for being there. Another man was quite supportive and thanked me for sharing the Gospel out on the streets. [Read more…]
I was moving a family member out of state, so there were no outreaches this last week. Kelly and his life group from his church went to Freeway Ministries Friday night. Since I don’t have anything to report, I want to link to one of my favorite nights of witnessing. Friday night it was a real blessing to have Jeff join Kelly and I downtown. Actually Jeff got there before we did and people were already stirred up right off the bat. It was a night full of mockers. Jeff got into a conversation early on with an angry atheist riding a motorcycle. When I got to our spot (actually Jeff found a really good spot across the street from where we normally go) Jeff was already preaching and people were already mocking. Last week a guy commented on a post for Seek and Save the Lost. He stated that God should not have put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the garden of Eden. I tried to explain to the guy that he was basically committing the same sin that Satan committed when he got kicked out of Heaven. I suggested that he repent and put his trust in Jesus. To which this guy replied that his relationship with Jesus was just fine, that I’m “not a very good speaker” and that I should leave the women at Planned Parenthood alone. [Read more…]

Before you get all bent out of shape and start calling me a bigot or a hater, you need to understand that I’m merely using the exact words the young woman called herself. What do you believe tonight? Who or what do you believe in? The majority of people nowadays believe in evolution, especially those 30 and under (73% of them believe in evolution). But evolution and secular science can’t explain where we come from, why we are here or where we are going. Atheism at its core is so anti-God that atheists believe everything came from nothing. Some atheists recognize how ludicrous this is, so they now are saying that aliens originally populated the earth. [Read more…]
At MSU on Wednesday a young lady walked up to me and asked, “Are you tired?” “Not yet,” I replied. Then she said, “What are you doing?” “I’m open-air preaching. She then said ok. I don’t believe the young lady had ever witnessed open-air preaching before. She was too polite to ask, but I saw her look around as if to say no one is listening to you. Since she didn’t actually verbalize the question, I didn’t address her concern, but the thought crossed my mind, well you stopped to talk to me. [Read more…]
Last Friday I was talking to a group of young people and we were discussing why bad things happen. I was relating the story of Adam and Eve. God put them in a perfect world and told them the only thing you can’t do is eat of the fruit of the forbidden tree and of course they did.
