Love And Honor My Wife

Love And Honor My Wife

Ministry Update January 21, 2018

I love and honor my wife. Yes, I am the spiritual leader of our home, but that doesn’t mean that I run roughshod over my godly wife. The apostle Paul said a man is to love his wife as Jesus loved the church (Ephesians 5:25). How did Jesus love the church? He died for us true believers! The reason I’m pointing this out is because my precious wife requests that I don’t do open-air preaching downtown on Friday nights when I’m by myself. (Sometimes my wife comes out with me, but we drove 14 hours back from Michigan on Thursday and she only had four hours sleep. So obviously I didn’t ask her to go downtown with me). Friday night, my ministry partners couldn’t make it, so I was witnessing on my own. Because I love and honor my wife, I didn’t open-air preach. Instead, I handed out Gospel tracts.  [Read more…]

No New Message

I had vertigo and was sick to my stomach last Friday. So I missed work and couldn’t make it downtown to go witnessing. Lord willing, several of us will witness this coming Friday night. Since I don’t have a message to post, please see this one from the past:

Are They Holding You Against Your Will?

Ministry Update June 25, 2017

Friday night Allen, Aaron and I were joined by Serenity and Desi witnessing downtown. While the three guys were preaching, the girls handed out tracts. A couple of women walked up to them and the one asked Serenity and Desi “Are they holding you against your will?” Desi told them no, that Aaron was their pastor.  [Read more…]

Ministry Update July 10, 2016

Jesus Is Awesome!

As we ended the night witnessing we were walking back to our vehicles and Summer was carrying a sign when a guy yelled out of his car window “Jesus is Awesome!” Yes He is and that was a great way to end the night. Erica, Diana, Elise, Summer and I sung a few hymns to start off the night then I brought a message Do You Call Jesus Lord?  [Read more…]

Kelly Praying for Nick Feb 5 2016

Ministry Update February 7, 2016

Last Friday night Kelly and his son Steven joined us witnessing downtown and Kelly did something different. He handed out some tracts and sang hymns with us, but mostly he asked everybody that walked by: Can I pray for you tonight? Yes he had many rejections, but that didn’t faze him. He kept asking and praying and when the night was over he had prayed with 11 people. Praise God!  [Read more…]

Greg preaching while I'm witnessing to Tom the Satanist

Greg preaching while I’m witnessing to Tom the Satanist

Friday July 3, 2015 was quite an interesting night. Before we started singing hymns, a friendly atheist came up to talk to Aaron. He used to hold signs with other atheists and stand in front of us when we preach. His name is Jim and he’s been kicked out of two atheist groups because he sticks up for our street preaching. He doesn’t agree with us, but he believes we have the right to free speech. Another lady was with him and they talked to Aaron for quite a while before we got started. After we sang some hymns, I brought a message against homosexuality and it allowed us to get into some good conversations. Greg with Born of Him Ministries went after me and while he was preaching, I talked to Tom the Satanist. Yes, he claimed to be a real Satanist and he had a pentagram tattoo on his calf muscle. He kept telling me that there aren’t object truths. I asked him if it would be wrong if I knocked him in the head and stole his wallet. He said yes, but it was only his subjective truth.  [Read more…]

The Suffering of Christ

I was witnessing at MSU last year and a young lady came up to me and said if I thought they were going to be held more responsible on Judgment Day because they heard and rejected the Gospel, wouldn’t she have been better off if I wasn’t there witnessing to her. For some reason, God keeps bringing this to my mind and all I keep thinking about is: there is no air-conditioning in Hell and there are no plush suites in Hell. Hell is Hell. So is it fair that unrepentant sinners go there when they die? Is it fair? [Read more…]

Judge Not Lest…

Judge Not Sign Website Pic

Judge not lest… I say again judge not lest… Most of us know the rest of that sentence – ye be judged. Judge not lest ye be judged. You have probably heard this before. Maybe you’ve even said it to a street evangelist before or perhaps you have said it to someone witnessing outside an abortion clinic. Frankly, we hear this quite often out on the streets. But is it biblical? Should professing Christians and non-Christians alike tell Christians who openly share their faith that they shouldn’t judge others? [Read more…]

Are You Ready?

R U Ready Front Side

Are you ready for some football? A lot of people think of Monday night football when they hear “Are You Ready?” But I want to talk to you about a different kind of “Are You Ready?” Bruce with Born of Him Ministries has a cross that says Are You Ready? on the front of the cross and it says “Turn From Dead Works” on the other side. Many open-air preachers around the country have Are You Ready crosses. Carl with Bezeugen Ministries prints the Are You Ready tracts like the one pictured above. [Read more…]

How Do You Know That You Are Really Saved?

March 11, 2012 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

The Cross

When I’m out witnessing with Born of Him Ministries, we sometimes run into professing Christians who are stumbling drunk and/or yell at us that we shouldn’t be preaching the Gospel in the open air. Also recently, Rick Santorum said that “If the President says that he’s a Christian, he’s a Christian.” So these things made me wonder, how do you know that you are really saved? [Read more…]
