Heaven or Hell?

Recently Keven, Joshua and I were out witnessing. We were handing out tracts and a lot of times Joshua would say, “Are you going to Heaven or Hell?” Most people replied that they were going to Heaven. This reminded me of Frank Jenner in Sydney Australia who for 28 years would hand people a tract and ask them if they died today, would they go to Heaven or Hell? Many people were saved by the grace of God by this one man asking this question. It made some people think of their eternity who never really thought about it before. Yes, it really is that simple: Heaven or Hell? [Read more…]

Blasphemy

Blasphemy

Most of us know what blasphemy is; it is using God’s name as a curse word or saying Jesus Christ in anger, also using His name as a curse word. I dare say most of us know this. Even atheists and agnostics who use God’s name as a curse word, know this is wrong. God has written His law upon our hearts. Each and everyone of us have a God-given conscience, even professed God haters. But is blasphemy more than saying a curse word? Is there more to blasphemy than this? [Read more…]

Salvation Of The Lord

Salvation is of the Lord. Jesus Christ came to seek and save the lost. The Lord came to save His people from their sins. Have you seen the salvation of the Lord? Have you received the salvation of the Lord? Are you saved? Have you been born again? Have you repented from your sins and surrendered your life to Jesus?  [Read more…]

Go Into All The World

Go Into All The World

Jesus told His disciples to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). There are an estimated 400,000 Christian missionaries who literally take the Gospel to the farthest ends of the earth. Missionaries are in most countries around the world. But aren’t there unbelievers right here in Springfield, Missouri? Aren’t people in Springfield, MO part of God’s created beings? Isn’t Springfield, MO part of the world? [Read more…]

The Way

The Way

Many times when we are out here witnessing at St. Louis and Jefferson and we see someone driving the wrong way down Jefferson. It happened last Friday. Even though there is the way that is right, the right way to go on the one-way street, some people inevitably go the wrong way. They end up going against the traffic. [Read more…]

Why Do You Believe In God?

Why Do You Believe In God?

Last week at Missouri State University, a student asked me, “Why do you believe in God?” This young man introduced himself to me earlier in the year as being an atheist (and even included his sexual preference which I didn’t ask about). But last week in addition to wanting to know if I believe in science (which I do – biblical science), he also wanted to know: why do you believe in God?  [Read more…]

Love Not Hate

Love Not Hate

Love not hate. Students I come here and share the Gospel with you every week out of love not hate. I do not hate you. If I hated you, I would not spend my lunch hour hear pleading with you to come to Jesus Christ. If I hated you, I wouldn’t care if you died in your sins and you went on to Hell. But I do not hate you. I lift my voice up so you can hear me from several directions as you are coming and going. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God so my great desire is for you to hear God’s truth, that He will convict you over your sins and that the Lord would grant you eternal life.  [Read more…]
