Is Jesus In All Of Us?

Ministry Updates for June 14, 2024 and June 7, 2024

Doug, Michael, Justin and I witnessed downtown Springfield, MO on Friday night June 14, 2024. The weather was great and there was a good breeze. The statement of the night was from a non-believer that said, “Jesus is in all of us.” But prior to that, Doug and I walked around downtown handing out tracts. We handed out several of them on the square. We walked down South Street, but it was really quiet, so we went back to the corner where we started. Doug and I both ran into professing Christians that said they were believers, yet didn’t attend church. We explained to them that attending church doesn’t save you, but as believers, we want to fellowship with other believers. I love evangelizing downtown, but I enjoy the fellowship with my brothers in Christ just as much as I enjoy sharing the Gospel with unbelievers. Excessive Violence

Many parents monitor their kids as far as the video games, TV shows, movies and books that their children watch and read; and rightly so. Parents have to worry about inappropriate sexual content, language and violence. Excessive violence is a real concern with many popular movies, shows, video games and books. What I’m about to say next may surprise you, but the Bible also contains excessive violence. Please note that I’m not talking about gratuitous violence, but excessive violence. No, I’m not really talking about how God judged the Canaanites and commanded the Israelites to kill every man, woman and child (Deuteronomy 7:1-2). (God did so out of righteous judgment against the nations in Canaan.) I’m not even talking about when God judged the whole world and condemned the whole world to death except for the eight souls that were spared on the ark (Genesis 7:7-23). [Read more…]

Ministry Update December 8, 2019

While I was open-air preaching at Missouri State University on Wednesday, a student politely interrupted me and said, “I want to talk to you about how you got the way you are.” I assured him that I’d be happy to talk to him, but I was just getting ready to share my testimony and that would answer his question. Since I wanted all the students nearby to hear, I would go ahead and tell everyone how I became a Christian and then we could talk one to one. Psalm 85:5 states: Will you (God) be angry with us forever?  Will you prolong your anger to all generations? Will God be angry forever? I will read Psalm 85:1-5 shortly to show that this is a believer that is asking God these questions. Are you afraid of the dark? I admit that I was when I was a little kid. All of my kids also had night lights when they were younger because they too were afraid of the dark. People make fun of you if you are afraid of the dark when you get older. But I’m not trying to make fun of you, instead, I’m sincerely asking: are you afraid of the dark? I Will Go Straight To Hell

Ministry Update March 24, 2019

Friday night when I first got out of my, car I could hear Jeff preaching. Jeff and Taylor came up from Arkansas to witness and they started early. As I started walking around my car, five women asked if I would take their picture by the Springfield sign on the Discovery Center building. I said sure, took the picture and told them I had something for them and gave them all New Testaments. Then one girl asked if I witness at MSU and I told her yes. She said, “I thought I recognized you.” Then I made my way to where Jeff was preaching and a man was heckling him from across the street. The man was the first of many that said he would go to Hell. One man toward the end of the night said, “I will go straight to Hell…” [Read more…]

Yes I Do!

Ministry Update February 17, 2019

I really only had one young man interrupt me briefly at Missouri State University on Wednesday while I was open-air preaching. He did the same thing the week before. Another guy just walked by and smiled like he typically does. But most of the students just walked by without a word. But I had a blessed time handing out New Testaments before open-air preaching. I actually ran out of New Testaments, so I switched to handing out Gospel tracts before it was time to open-air preach.  [Read more…]

I’m out here today to praise the Lord. This is the day that the Lord has made. As believers we say thank God or praise the Lord and we really do mean it when we say it. Yes, we thank God and praise God for He is good. We thank God when things go well. The Chasing Evangelist

Friday night Pastor Joshua, Thomas and I witnessed downtown. Thomas typically chases people down the sidewalk whether they accept or refuse a tract. Friday night I witnessed him walking with people to the East, West and South. This is not unusual. But this time I did ask the chasing evangelist what he says to people as he’s walking beside them, especially when they refuse a tract.  [Read more…]
