Is Jesus Really Lord Of Your Life?

Is Jesus Really Lord Of Your Life?

While my friends and I are out street witnessing, we run into a lot of professing Christians. Recently a guy that was inebriated claimed to be a Christian. Another guy seemed to affirm our handing out Gospel tracts, yet still asked us if we had any weed to sell. Now maybe you aren’t in this extreme of situation, but I ask you: Is Jesus really Lord of your life?

Have you truly repented of your sins and surrendered your life to Jesus? Has your life been radically transformed as in a dead person being raised to life? You may think this is a silly question, but unbelievers are spiritually dead in their trespasses and sins. When God grants you repentance and faith in Jesus, you are made alive in Christ (Ephesians 2:5). It most definitely is a dead person coming alive – spiritually alive that is. [Read more…]

Seek And Save The Lost

Seek And Save The Lost

God brought to mind the name Seek and Save the Lost when I named this ministry toward the end of 2009. What really caught my attention is that it is biblical and I especially liked the seeking part. There’s something very comforting in knowing that Jesus is seeking the lost. But lately, God has the “save the lost” part standing out to me. Not only is Jesus a seeking God; He also is a saving God. Jesus came to seek and save the lost. The King James Version puts it this way:  For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). [Read more…]

Saving Faith

Saving Faith

I know people who only have intellectual knowledge of Jesus. They believe that He suffered God’s wrath over sin while Jesus hung on the cross. These people believe that Jesus was beaten beyond recognition, that Jesus suffered, bled, died on the cross and rose from the grave three days later. Because they believe these facts, they also believe they are saved. They believe that they won’t go to Hell when they die, all because they believe these truths about Jesus. But is believing facts the same thing as saving faith? [Read more…]

Yes I Do!

Ministry Update February 17, 2019

I really only had one young man interrupt me briefly at Missouri State University on Wednesday while I was open-air preaching. He did the same thing the week before. Another guy just walked by and smiled like he typically does. But most of the students just walked by without a word. But I had a blessed time handing out New Testaments before open-air preaching. I actually ran out of New Testaments, so I switched to handing out Gospel tracts before it was time to open-air preach.  [Read more…]

Works Won’t Save You

Works Won’t Save You

We run into a lot of people while out street witnessing who think they are good. Many of these folks think that they are good enough to go to Heaven. That God will weigh their good against their bad and if they’ve done more good, they think they will make it. A lot of these same people also think that they can work their way to Heaven. That somehow, they can earn God’s favor through their works. But works won’t save you.  [Read more…]

Consequences For Sin

Many people today believe that anything goes; that there is no absolute right and wrong. Because of this position, people don’t even think of sinning as being sinful, so they sure don’t think about the consequences for sin. But there are consequences for your sins.  [Read more…]

Ministry Update August 30, 2015

Last Friday night while Aaron was street preaching a young man came up and mocked God. I talked to him for some time while our group sang hymns to end the night. As he walked away, he said to me “I will give Jesus a fair hearing and then I will…”  [Read more…]

Silent in the Face of Evil

And it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgement – Hebrews 9:27. You cannot cheat death and you will stand before God on Judgment Day, just like I will. You may be thinking, well I’m a believer so I don’t have anything to worry about. [Read more…]
