We had another blessed time witnessing downtown Friday night. Scotty McCreery was performing at the Gilloz Theatre and the weather was perfect, especially after all the recent storms. So there was good foot traffic and we had the usual mix of mockers and encouragers. I Gotta Stop With The Devils Lettuce

With these updates, many times I say what a blessed night we had witnessing downtown, and Friday night was no exception. I say this frequently because it is true. Every night is different and we never know what we are going to see and hear. Friday night we were blessed with several encouragers, several mockers and a great conversation at the end. Silent Mockers

Ministry Update October 7, 2018

Unlike last week where I encountered vocal mockers at Missouri State University, this week was silent mockers. Not a single person said a word, but I could tell by the look in their eyes that they didn’t want to hear the message. Maybe they don’t like the method of open-air preaching. Either way, I could see that many students were silent mockers. One student stood and listened for a while. I asked him if he had any questions and he just said no, so I kept bringing the message. A little later Brittany stopped to listen before she had to head on to class. She smiled and waved as she left. It’s always great to see her. Friday night it was a real blessing to have Rich join Kelly, Conner and I witnessing downtown. Rich and his family have been living in China for nearly three years and they just got into Springfield on Wednesday and I’m sure he was still jet lagged. Now that I think of it, Rich witnessed with Kelly and I at MSU just a few days before he left for China in August 2015. So he came back and joined us the same he joined us before he left. Ministry Update January 31, 2018

I witnessed at Missouri State University during the lunch hour today. Handed out tracts on the way to the witnessing spot, then when I brought a message explaining why I share the Gospel with them. Because God is great. Right off the bat one student stopped right in front of me to listen. Then Quinn the skateboarding atheist stopped and sat on his skateboard. He asked questions and even though he wasn’t sincere, I used his questions to address the crowd that he drew.  [Read more…]

Ministry Update August 27, 2017

On Wednesday August 23, 2017 I witnessed at MSU during the lunch hour. It was the students first week of school for the fall semester. It was a pleasure to say “welcome students” to those new to Missouri State University and to welcome back the returning students. I tied the message to the parable Jesus told about the king inviting people to the wedding in Matthew 22:1-14 and how many rejected the invitation. My plea was that they wouldn’t reject the invitation to repent and surrender their lives to Jesus Christ the Lord.
