Born To Die

Born To Die

Did you know that you are born to die? We are born with a sinful nature. In other words, our parents were sinners, their parents were sinners and on and on all the way back to Adam and Eve. The first parents sinned in the garden of Eden and we’ve all sinned since then. The soul that sins, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). Yes we are sinners. Yes we all die. But there was one born to die, who never sinned. [Read more…]

Saving Faith

Saving Faith

I know people who only have intellectual knowledge of Jesus. They believe that He suffered God’s wrath over sin while Jesus hung on the cross. These people believe that Jesus was beaten beyond recognition, that Jesus suffered, bled, died on the cross and rose from the grave three days later. Because they believe these facts, they also believe they are saved. They believe that they won’t go to Hell when they die, all because they believe these truths about Jesus. But is believing facts the same thing as saving faith? [Read more…]

No Condemnation No Fear My Chains Are Gone

No Condemnation No Fear

Romans 8 contains some wonderful Bible verses, but tonight I want to concentrate on the first verses that deal with no condemnation no fear. I’m very partial to Romans 8:1 because this is the Bible verse that God used to convert me, to save me. I absolutely love Romans 8:1.  [Read more…]

Ministry Update October 29, 2017

Friday night while I was bringing a message, Conner handed out tracts. He offered tracts to a group of young men and they refused the tracts, but one of them said “I like Jesus.” I like Jesus, just like saying I like the color red. No real emotion or anything. Have we become a society so used to social media that we just break everything down to what we like or dis-like? I didn’t hear the young man, but I suspect it wasn’t just like as in liking a Facebook post. I think the young man was indicating that he likes Jesus. That Jesus is alright by him.  [Read more…]

Repent And Be Converted

Repent And Be Converted

Repent And Be Converted

If you have ever heard me sharing the Gospel before then you most likely have heard me say the word repent. A lot of times I say repent and surrender your life to Jesus or repent and believe the Gospel. Or maybe you’ve heard me say repent and trust Jesus or repent and put your faith in Jesus. I say these words because I truly want you to repent and be converted. My desire is to see you saved. I hope to see you one day in Heaven and you can’t make it there without Jesus Christ. You must repent and submit your life to Him.  [Read more…]

Do You Call Jesus Lord?

Do You Call Jesus Lord

Do You Call Jesus Lord?

I want to start out tonight by asking you a question. Do you call Jesus Lord? Is Jesus your Lord and Savior? Are you really saved? Have you truly surrendered your life to Him? Do you call Jesus your Savior and just stop there or is Jesus truly your Lord and Savior?  [Read more…]

Positive Thoughts

Seek and Save the Lost Telepathy

Many atheists hate God so much that they won’t even say “Bless you” when someone sneezes because it’s too close to or a shortened version of “God bless you.” So instead of saying this;  many atheists say “Gesundheit!” which is German for “[to your] health.” Along these lines, what do atheists say when a loved one is really sick or has a serious ailment? They obviously can’t say “I’ll pray for you” so instead a lot of times they’ll say they are sending “Positive thoughts.”  [Read more…]

There’s Nothing Wrong With Black Friday

Black Friday Best Buy Ad

There’s nothing wrong with Black Friday. There’s nothing wrong with looking for good deals. Black Friday should still be on the Friday after Thanksgiving instead of Thanksgiving evening. But there’s nothing wrong with getting a good deal. A few years ago when Black Friday was still on Friday, I went out witnessing with a bunch of people at 4 am and then around 7 or 8 am that morning I ran by a store and bought a bicycle for my daughter that was really cheap and it was the last one that the store had in her size. That was very exciting. [Read more…]
