Jesus Is The Son Of God

Jesus Is The Son Of God

We come out here and lift up Jesus Christ the Lord. Jesus is the Son of God. He is the only Savior of mankind. Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden and all of us have sinned since then. All sin is rebellion against God. Everyone who dies in their sins goes to Hell and suffers everlasting torments for their rebellion against God. We plead with you to repent from your sins and surrender your life to Jesus. Receive life, eternal life. [Read more…]

Gambling With Your Life

Over one hundred fifty thousand people are here at Churchill Downs for The Kentucky Derby to watch one of the greatest races in sports. Yes, people come here to watch the horses run, but they also come here to get drunk, lust, covet and gamble. For those who don’t know any better, all of these things are a sin. Not merely watching a horse race, but the getting drunk, lusting, coveting and gambling are all sins. [Read more…]

Ungrateful Unholy

Ungrateful Unholy

According to the 2018 General Society Survey, 23.1% of Americans claim no religion. That’s slightly higher than the number that claim to be Catholic (23%) and the number of evangelicals (22.5%). But these statics really shouldn’t surprise us, at least not those of us who read and believe the Bible. The Bible tells us that in the last days people will be ungrateful, unholy and so it is in America. [Read more…]

Christ Is A Great Savior

Christ Is A Great Savior

John Newton, the man who wrote the wonderful hymn Amazing Grace, also stated: Although my memory’s fading, I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior. I agree wholeheartedly with this statement. I am a great sinner that has been saved by the grace of God and my salvation is found in Jesus alone. Christ is a great Savior and He is my Lord and Savior.  [Read more…]

Sin Means To Miss The Mark

Ministry Update September 9, 2018

On Wednesday at Missouri State University I couldn’t get a permit for my usual spot. So I open-air preached at Strong Hall. I like Strong Hall, it was the first spot I witnessed at when I started witnessing at MSU around seven years ago. Toward the end of the message, a young woman stopped to listen and then she came over to talk afterwards. She studies Hebrew at the university and she said the Greek word for sin means to miss the mark. To that I said a hearty Amen!   [Read more…]

I Don’t Know

I Don’t Know

Last Friday Jeff was open-air preaching and he engaged several people in conversation as they walked by. One question he liked to ask was: Where will you go if you die tonight? One guy said that he’d probably go to Hell and he thinks it will be a wonderful place. (Obviously he hasn’t read how the Bible describes Hell. There are no parties there, just pain and suffering. Weeping and gnashing of teeth). But when Jeff asked a couple of young women where they think they will go, both answered “I don’t know.”  [Read more…]

Was Jesus Unjudging?

Was Jesus Unjudging?

A guy contacted me this week through Seek and Save the Lost, chastising me for being judgmental and hateful. He continued, letting me know his strong opinions which included the opinion that Jesus was unjudging. So I ask you: was Jesus unjudging? Was Jesus non-judgmental?  [Read more…]

The Death Of Jesus

The Death Of Jesus

It’s only natural that people talk about the birth of Jesus around Christmas time. People all around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is an exciting time. But why was Jesus born in the first place? Why did He leave Heaven to come to the very earth He created and be born of the virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit? Why did Jesus do this? He was born to die. Jesus came to save His people from their sins. So in addition to everyone celebrating the birth of Christ, it makes sense that we should also talk about the death of Jesus.  [Read more…]

I Would Have Eaten The Forbidden Fruit

Forbidden Fruit

Forbidden Fruit

Last Friday I was talking to a group of young people and we were discussing why bad things happen. I was relating the story of Adam and Eve. God put them in a perfect world and told them the only thing you can’t do is eat of the fruit of the forbidden tree and of course they did. As I was saying this, one of the young women said, “I would have eaten the forbidden fruit.”  [Read more…]

Sexy Cowboy

Ministry Update September 10, 2017

Friday night I was handing out Gospel tracts on a street corner in downtown Springfield, MO when a carload of girls drove by. One of the passengers stuck her head out the window and yelled, “Hey sexy cowboy.” Yes, she yelled this at me. No, I’m not sexy. No, I’m not a cowboy. But I am a follower of Jesus Christ who believes we are to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. We are supposed to deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow Jesus. When Christians venture outside of their homes and their churches, they will hear strange comments. But we really shouldn’t be surprised when lost people act lost.  [Read more…]
