God Hears The Prayers Of The Righteous

Does God hear your prayers? A lot of people pray to God. Some people claim to be spiritual and they’ve told me that they pray to God. Even professing Christians who after talking with them for a while, even they figured out that they really weren’t saved. That they had never truly repented of their sins and surrendered their lives to Jesus. Sometimes these same people fall back on, “I pray to God after I sin and He forgives me.” But is this really true? Does God hear their prayers? Does God hear your prayers? [Read more…]

Praise God For The Conversations

Elly Talking To Two Young Men

Praise God For The Conversations!

Ministry Update June 5, 2022

We were blessed to have Trevor, Elly, their two girls, Keven, Joshua and I all out witnessing Friday night. I started out with a short message and had a drive by mocker or two. But before Trevor could bring his message, Elly was nearby having a discussion with a couple of guys. So he respectfully held off so he didn’t interfere with their conversation. While that was going on Joshua spoke to a young lady that’s a college student and said that she’s a believer. Also before Trevor could preach, a young man approached him and they had a long conversation. So we praise God for the conversations! [Read more…]

Heaven or Hell?

Heaven or Hell?

Recently Keven, Joshua and I were out witnessing. We were handing out tracts and a lot of times Joshua would say, “Are you going to Heaven or Hell?” Most people replied that they were going to Heaven. This reminded me of Frank Jenner in Sydney Australia who for 28 years would hand people a tract and ask them if they died today, would they go to Heaven or Hell? Many people were saved by the grace of God by this one man asking this question. It made some people think of their eternity who never really thought about it before. Yes, it really is that simple: Heaven or Hell? [Read more…]

Free And Costly

Free And Costly At The Same Time

How can something be free and costly at the same time? I’m glad you asked. Salvation through Jesus Christ is both costly and free. Salvation is the free gift from God. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior (Titus 3:5-6). Keep Your God To Yourself

Keep Your God To Yourself

I was thinking the other day about how it is such a privilege and an honor to lift up the precious name of Jesus Christ out on the streets. I’m thankful that God compels me to share the Gospel with this lost and dying world. As I was thinking about this, some of the comments people have made over the years popped into my head. The one that stuck that I couldn’t quit thinking about was “Keep your God to yourself.”  [Read more…]

Why The Update – I Know It’s A Sin

Why The Update – I Know It’s a Sin

Why the update I know it’s a sin? Because that’s what the young man admitted to me. Several of us were witnessing downtown on a Friday night in November 2016. I started talking to a young man named Cody while he waited on his friend who was talking to Erica. Cody appeared to be very intoxicated, so I asked him if he’d been drinking and he said that he had been. When I asked him if he realized that getting drunk was sinning against God, he admitted, “I know it’s a sin.” You need to realize that most people won’t admit their sinning when confronted with their sins. Typically, people come back with comments like “everybody does it” or “it’s no big deal” or “it’s human nature or just being human.” So it’s actually refreshing when someone actually admits their sin. Why The Message – Outrageous Puppy Killer?

Sean Branch Outrageous Puppy Killer

Why The Message Outrageous Puppy Killer?

This message was posted in January 2013 because it truly was horrific. A young man in Washington, D.C. was sentenced to four months in jail for killing a little puppy. Why did he do it? He was mad at the dog’s owner, so he viciously killed the poor, little, defenseless puppy. This is truly awful. People should be outraged over such behavior. We must stand up for the rights of animals! As horrible as this story is, there’s something even worse. Much worse. Three thousand little babies are killed every day in America! Little babies, poor, little, defenseless babies are viciously murdered every day. This is horrific. But where’s the outcry? Why aren’t people hopping mad about this? Why does this travesty, this injustice continue unabated? It does so because of choice, because of a woman’s “choice” to kill her unborn child. [Read more…]

Why The Message – I Would Have Eaten The Forbidden Fruit?

Why The Message – I Would Have Eaten The Forbidden Fruit?

Why the message – I Would Have Eaten The Forbidden Fruit? Because a young lady said that to me while I was witnessing in downtown Springfield, Mo in September 2017. I had open-air preached on a different corner earlier that evening and a couple of friends and I then moved to a different spot downtown to hand out tracts.  A group of college students walked by and one girl stopped and asked if I also witness on campus (at Missouri State University) and I told her that I do witness there too. Then she asked me why I do this? Asking a street evangelist this question is absolutely wonderful. This allowed me to share the Gospel with Antonia and her friends, all because she asked the question why do you do this. [Read more…]

The Way Of All The Earth

The Way Of All The Earth

Moses led the Israelites out Egypt, but he died and did not enter into the promised land of Canaan. He died because he sinned while leading the Israelites in the wilderness for 40 years. Moses disobeyed God’s direct order, so he died for his sin and couldn’t enter into Canaan. But Joshua led the Israelites into Canaan and God delivered the Canaanites into his hand. When Joshua was 110 years old, he died. But before he died, he said, “I am going the way of all the earth.” [Read more…]

Do You Believe This?

Do You Believe This?

Before Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, the Lord talked to Lazarus’ sister Martha. Basically, Martha told Jesus that if He had been there, she knew that Jesus would have healed him and her brother wouldn’t have died. She was lamenting the fact that Jesus didn’t get there in time to heal her brother. Martha and her sister Mary were heartbroken over the death of their brother. [Read more…]
