I know of people who are looking forward to this new year in 2019. Some are hopeful to get away from drugs or alcohol addictions. Most Of The Laborers At The Christmas Parade Outreach
There were forty laborers from Crossway Baptist Church handing out tracts at the Springfield Christmas parade on Saturday. Originally the weather forecasters were predicting one to three inches of snow. But praise God, that didn’t happen and we handed out thousands of Gospel tracts. Greg led the outreach and I think in the past we may have had around 15 or 16 people witnessing at one St. Patrick’s Day Parade, but praise God, this time there were forty of us! [Read more…]
Are you calling God a liar? This is a serious question. Are you calling God a liar tonight? The Springfield Skeptics are on the square tonight encouraging you to ask them questions. I’ve talked to some of these “skeptics” in the past and they aren’t really skeptics, they are flat out atheists. They emphatically say there is no God. As Pastor Joshua was finishing up the first message of the night, three Muslims came up and started talking to us. The young man that did most of the talking said at one point that all roads lead to God. We politely tried to tell him that all roads do not lead to God. Jesus said that He is the way, truth and life and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Jesus is very exclusive and He is the only Savior. [Read more…]

It’s only natural that people talk about the birth of Jesus around Christmas time. People all around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is an exciting time. But why was Jesus born in the first place? Why did He leave Heaven to come to the very earth He created and be born of the virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit? Why did Jesus do this? He was born to die. Jesus came to save His people from their sins. So in addition to everyone celebrating the birth of Christ, it makes sense that we should also talk about the death of Jesus. [Read more…]
I think the post No Other Name Under Heaven was just the second one I posted. It’s a short one but it gets to the heart of the matter. What name are you trusting in? There is no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Jesus, precious Jesus is the only Savior. Is He your Lord and Savior? Have you repented and surrendered your life fully and completely to Him?
