Have You Encountered the Living Christ?

Jesus is the Light of the World website pic 1

According to a Harris Poll taken in December 2013, 74% of Americans believe in God. That number used to be over 90% per a Gallup poll in June 2011. So the number of Americans that believe in God has dropped a little bit, but around three-fourths of us still believe in God. How about you tonight, do you believe in God? Again, the majority of us probably would say that we do. [Read more…]

Ignorance is Not Bliss

National Corvette Museum Sinkhole

National Corvette Museum Sinkhole

We’ve all heard the saying that “ignorance is bliss.” There are times when I know things that I really wish that I didn’t know them or I wish that I could “un-know” them, but it doesn’t work that way. Besides, most of the time ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance just puts off the inevitable. If there was a sinkhole under your house that could collapse at any moment; wouldn’t you want to know this fact as soon as possible? [Read more…]

Last Call

Shot of Whiskey

I quit drinking 14 years ago, even though I wasn’t saved at the time. My oldest daughter was 12 years old back then and I knew that I didn’t want her to drink. So I thought how can I tell her not to drink when I always have alcohol around the house? So I quit drinking because I didn’t want to be bad influence on my children. [Read more…]

People Crossing a Busy Street

What are you doing right now? You may think, well that’s a stupid question because I’m reading this blog. But are you really paying attention? Are you really concentrating on this message? Or are you listening to the radio or talking to or listening to a friend or loved one at the same time? Or maybe you are thinking about what you are going to do later on tonight. [Read more…]

You Can’t Earn This!

Grade Card

There are a lot of things we earn during our lifetime. We earn grades in school (good or bad). We earn awards or a spot on a team. We earn the trust of our friends. Later on we go to work and earn a living. We get paid for doing our job. We put in the effort and then we are rewarded with a paycheck.

Don’t Let Anyone Tell You What To Believe

December 3, 2011 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

Don’t let anyone tell you what to believe concerning your salvation. Now before my friends start throwing stones at me, I haven’t lost my mind. I’m not telling people that whatever they believe is alright. I’m not saying that you can claim Christ as Lord and live for Satan. I’m not teaching Universalism. [Read more…]

Health, Wealth and Happiness

July 1, 2011 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

At one time or another you may have heard a preacher on TV saying something like, “Come to Jesus and He will give you health, wealth and happiness.” They are trying to sell people on Christianity so they will have a better life (some of these pastors are very wealthy and they live “the good life” – for now), selling this brand of Christianity. Free Gift

May 4, 2011 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

We love free gifts. Most of us love a good deal, we love to get something for free. My wife and I ate at McDonald’s the other day for lunch. Even though we were in a hurry to get there, my wife took a minute to find a coupon. I told her that I didn’t realize that McDonald’s even had coupons. But she found the coupon and we bought a fish sandwich and received one for free. Man I love saving money. I like free things (most of the time… sometimes you get what you pay for). [Read more…]

Is Time Running Out of Time?

Ray Comfort with Way of the Master says that God is not subject to time; God made time for man (paraphrased). I’ve been thinking about this and a couple of Bible verses come to mind. [Read more…]
