Magnify The Lord

As Christians, we are to magnify the Lord. To my fellow Christians, do you magnify the Lord? In other words, do you praise God? Do you exalt or extol the Lord? Do you lift of up the precious name of Jesus to others? Do you share the Gospel with this lost and dying world? Do you magnify Jesus – the name above every other name?

Psalm 70:4 says: Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. In Luke Chapter 1, the angel Gabriel tells Mary that she is going to have a son by the power of the Holy Spirit and that He will be a King and his kingdom will reign forever. Mary went to see her cousin Elizabeth and Mary spoke these words: My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour (Luke 1:46-47). [Read more…]

Tonight we are out here to talk about a subject that no one wants to talk about, but the subject is something that happens to all of us. We are out here tonight to talk about dying. Not just about dying, but about dying well. We are all going to die one day. You can’t cheat death. It happens to all of us, even though we don’t like to talk about it. Atrocious Act

On New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2020, a 29 year-old killed his girlfriend and her 13 year-old son. The man also tried to kill the woman’s two daughters, ages 7 and 14, but they both survived the attack. This happened right here in Springfield, Missouri. This was a shocking crime in Southwest Missouri. But this horrendous crime pales in comparison to King Herod killing 2,000 boys that were 2 years old and younger in Bethlehem. Herod ordered the killings because he was trying to kill baby Jesus. Obviously, King Herod failed in his attempt, but he did succeed in his atrocious act of killing 2,000 precious little boys. How can something be free and costly at the same time? I’m glad you asked. Salvation through Jesus Christ is both costly and free. Salvation is the free gift from God. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior (Titus 3:5-6). Tonight, I want to talk to you about Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Not only did Jesus save me, He is Lord of my life. Jeffrey Epstein hung himself while waiting for trial on sex trafficking charges. His victims, young girls who were in their teens when he raped them and forced them to have sex with other rich and powerful men were robbed of justice. It’s not fair!
