Why Do You Believe In God?

Why Do You Believe In God?

Last week at Missouri State University, a student asked me, “Why do you believe in God?” This young man introduced himself to me earlier in the year as being an atheist (and even included his sexual preference which I didn’t ask about). But last week in addition to wanting to know if I believe in science (which I do – biblical science), he also wanted to know: why do you believe in God?  [Read more…]

More Than One Music Man

 Ministry Update May 28, 2017

Friday night we were blessed to have more than one music man. In fact, we ended up with three before the night was over. I was the only odd man out. I don’t play any instruments and I can’t carry a tune, but I make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Allen brought his keyboard and Danny brought his mandolin and we started the night off singing four or five hymns.  [Read more…]

Consequences For Sin

Consequences For Sin

Consequences For Sin

Many people today believe that anything goes; that there is no absolute right and wrong. Because of this position, people don’t even think of sinning as being sinful, so they sure don’t think about the consequences for sin. But there are consequences for your sins.  [Read more…]

Love Is The Only Doctrine

Love Is The Doctrine

Love Is The Only Doctrine

I drove by a church in Springfield the other day and their sign by the road said “Love is the only doctrine of this church.” Now that sounds lovely, doesn’t it? Love is the only doctrine. Let’s all just love everybody. It really sounds wonderful, but is it biblical?  [Read more…]

What Have You Got To Lose?

What Have You Got To Lose

What Have You Got To Lose?

Have you ever been in a situation where you thought what have you got to lose? Have you ever been backed into a corner and you come out swinging? You do this because you don’t think that you have anything to lose. Or have you ever been in a bad relationship and you knew that you had nothing to lose to end it? Have you ever been desperate in a dead-end job and decided to go for a new job because you thought what have you got to lose? I’ve been in desperate situations where I felt like I didn’t have any other options; that I didn’t have anything to lose by trying something different. Maybe like you should just flip a coin to make a decision. [Read more…]

Ministry Update August 9, 2015

Actually my friends and I witnessed downtown last Friday night like we always do. There just happened to be a bunch of immoral men and women downtown who were protesting because women can’t run around in public without wearing a top. The name of this rally is so offensive that I don’t even want to repeat it here.  [Read more…]

Who Are The Lost?

Seek and Save the Lost Old Banner

The name of this ministry is Seek and Save the Lost. It comes from Luke 19:10 where Jesus says: For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. People visit this website from all around the world. Recently, several people have asked the question: who are the lost? This is a very good question. Who are the lost? Who was Jesus talking about in Luke 19:10? He had just told Zacchaeus that he was coming to his house. The people who heard Jesus say this murmured because Jesus was going to eat with what they called a sinner and He wasn’t going to dine at one of the religious leader’s homes.  [Read more…]

God Loves Gay People

MSU Lesbian

A couple of weeks ago I brought a message at MSU and a young lady became upset when I read 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and she came back and stood near me with a handwritten sign that said “God loves gay people too.”  I guess she didn’t like the words in 1 Corinthians chapter 6 that says the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God nor the words be not deceived and more specifically the part that says homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God.  [Read more…]

Universalism

June 18, 2011 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

It seems like several pastors and Christian singers lately have come out in favor of universalism. They may not even call it that, but if you listen closely to what they say, this is the direction they are going. They basically believe that since God is love, God will not punish people for their sins, He will just forgive everyone no matter what and that everyone will be alright. [Read more…]
