I Don’t Know Jesus And Don’t Know If I Ever Will

Ministry Update October 15, 2017

Before Kelly and Steven joined me downtown Friday night, I handed out tracts. A lesbian couple walked by holding hands, but I just smiled and offered them a tract. The young woman closest to me took a tract. I figured getting God’s truth in her hand was better than bashing her over the head with warnings that no homosexual shall inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). One guy told me that he’d received my literature before, but he still took a tract and thanked me for being there. Another man was quite supportive and thanked me for sharing the Gospel out on the streets.  [Read more…]

Night Full Of Mockers

Ministry Update October 1, 2017

Friday night it was a real blessing to have Jeff join Kelly and I downtown. Actually Jeff got there before we did and people were already stirred up right off the bat. It was a night full of mockers. Jeff got into a conversation early on with an angry atheist riding a motorcycle. When I got to our spot (actually Jeff found a really good spot across the street from where we normally go) Jeff was already preaching and people were already mocking. It really was a night full of mockers from beginning to end.  [Read more…]

What Are You Doing?

Ministry Update September 17, 2017

At MSU on Wednesday a young lady walked up to me and asked, “Are you tired?” “Not yet,” I replied. Then she said, “What are you doing?” “I’m open-air preaching. She then said ok. I don’t believe the young lady had ever witnessed open-air preaching before. She was too polite to ask, but I saw her look around as if to say no one is listening to you. Since she didn’t actually verbalize the question, I didn’t address her concern, but the thought crossed my mind, well you stopped to talk to me.  [Read more…]

Doesn’t Take A Lot Of People To Worship God

Ministry Update March 26 2017

Friday night was a rainy night, but we realized that it doesn’t take a lot of people to worship God. Kelly, Aaron, Erica, Elise, Serenity and I had a wonderful time worshiping God even though there weren’t a lot of people on the square. We sang hymns and us guys preached. We had a great time lifting up the precious name of Jesus and I think we must have sang around eight hymns. Glory to God.  [Read more…]

Five To One

Ministry Update January 29, 2017

I’m not a gambler & I don’t believe in gambling, but I liked the five to one at MSU Jan 25th. Aaron & I had five encouragers and only one mocker. When the kid rode his bicycle near me mouthing off I just said May God bless you and kept on preaching. He didn’t know what to say after that.  [Read more…]

Kentucky Derby Outreach 2016

Kentucky Derby Outreach 2016

It was a real blessing to witness at the Kentucky Derby Outreach through Sports Fan Outreach International. Twenty four of us from around the country had a wonderful time of fellowship and laboring for God’s kingdom. Twelve hour days of witnessing were long and the nights seemed short, but it was an amazing time of sharing the Gospel through tracts, one to one witnessing, a hand held sign, prayer stand and open-air preaching.  [Read more…]

Ministry Update November 23, 2015

On Wednesday November 18, 2015 I was at MSU at the usual spot and a young man came up to me and wanted to know if open-air preaching (or as he called it – yelling at people) was really the best way to reach people. I was just about finished with my message when he interrupted me. I told him to hang on a minute that I was about finished. But that didn’t make this professing Christian happy and frankly I get tired of the same old arguments.  [Read more…]

Ministry Update November 15, 2015

This last Wednesday was Veteran’s Day. I very much appreciate the men and women who have served our country. I’m thankful for the sacrifice their families endured while the veterans served in the military. To all who have served, I want to say thank you for serving. On Wednesday, Aaron and I witnessed at MSU during the lunch hour. I thank my friend for serving our country. He served in Iraq 12 years ago. I’m grateful and thankful for his service. But I’m even more grateful and thankful that he serves our Lord and Savior.  [Read more…]

Slut Walk Invite

Ministry Update September 20, 2015

The thing about open-air preaching and street ministry is that you never know what’s going to happen. While I was at MSU open-air preaching on Wednesday September 16, 2015, a young man named Marcus walked across the grass in front of me and came up and shook my hand. It’s always great to see people that are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I also had a couple of people that walked by and mouthed off and kept walking which is more typical. But while I was bringing the message, I noticed three students handing out flyers near where I was standing. I didn’t pay much attention to them and kept preaching. As they were heading to class, one of them came up to me and handed me an invite to Slut Walk.  [Read more…]

Attacked For The Gospel

September 6, 2015 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com 3 Comments

Ministry Update September 6, 2015

Attacker being arrested.

Attacker being arrested.

Every day more Christians are being attacked for their faith in Jesus Christ. Bakers are facing ridiculously high fines and are being forced out of business. Kentucky’s Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis is still in jail for a contempt of court charge because she refuses to issue same sex marriage licenses. Some Christians are even being physically attacked for the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord.  [Read more…]
