The Compassion Of Jesus

We just celebrated Thanksgiving. Who or what did you thank? I’ve heard people thank “mother earth” or trees or other things like these. But who did you thank on Thanksgiving? Did you thank God? The one true God of the Bible? I am very thankful to God for my wife, family, friends, home, vehicles, job and so much more and I thank my Heavenly Father for these things. I also especially thank God for the compassion of Jesus. Jesus was very compassionate when He walked this earth 2,000 years ago. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him (Jesus), saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.  And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. Seek and Save the Lost Barnard I am a Christian

This is a great quote from Rolfe Barnard. Jesus is the giver. He gave His all. He died for my sins. He took my place on that cruel cross. He took the punishment that I deserved. I’m the one who sinned. I’m the one who rebelled against Almighty God. I’m the one with the wicked heart. I’m the one who deserves to suffer in Hell for all of eternity. I did the crime; I deserve to do the time. I’m the one who’s lied, stolen, blasphemed God, worshiped false gods (such as money and work), been drunk, lusted and on and on. I’ve broken the 10 Commandments many times over. I’m not bragging about these things, in fact I’m very ashamed of my past. I’m merely admitting some of my sins to show that I am a sinner. I can’t undo a single sin. I can’t save myself in any way, shape or form. I can do nothing to earn salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9). MSU Lesbian

A couple of weeks ago I brought a message at MSU and a young lady became upset when I read 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and she came back and stood near me with a handwritten sign that said “God loves gay people too.”  I guess she didn’t like the words in 1 Corinthians chapter 6 that says the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God nor the words be not deceived and more specifically the part that says homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God.  [Read more…]
