No Excuses

No Excuses

There will be no excuses on Judgment Day and make no mistake, there is a day of judgment that is coming. And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment (Hebrews 9:27). A day of reckoning is coming for all unrepentant sinners and unbelief, ignorance, outright rejection or rebellion will be no excuse. There will be absolutely no excuses on that great and terrible day of the Lord. [Read more…]

Are You Afraid Of The Dark?

Are You Afraid Of The Dark?

Are you afraid of the dark? I admit that I was when I was a little kid. All of my kids also had night lights when they were younger because they too were afraid of the dark. People make fun of you if you are afraid of the dark when you get older. But I’m not trying to make fun of you, instead, I’m sincerely asking: are you afraid of the dark? I’m asking this question tonight because there are some people who should be afraid of the dark. [Read more…]

The Way

The Way

Many times when we are out here witnessing at St. Louis and Jefferson and we see someone driving the wrong way down Jefferson. It happened last Friday. Even though there is the way that is right, the right way to go on the one-way street, some people inevitably go the wrong way. They end up going against the traffic. [Read more…]

Really Long Time

Do you remember when you were a kid and it was about a week before your birthday or a week before Christmas, how that week seemed like a really long time? Do you remember how time seemed to drag on forever? Or maybe you are walking by today and you are in your junior or senior year of college and you remember how four years, maybe five seemed like a really long time for you to get through college? Walking Backwards

Ministry Update February 24, 2019

I ended the time witnessing at Missouri State University on Wednesday by walking backwards. But praise God, 20 students graciously received New Testaments before I brought a message. One gentleman that said he didn’t need a New Testament was a Navy veteran. I thanked him for his service and he said it was his pleasure. Then he said that he mainly just read reports. He could tell that I was surprised at his answer.  [Read more…]

Do You Know The Lord?

Do You Know The Lord?

According to a PEW Research Center report last year, 80% of Americans believe in God or a higher power. The same report showed that only 56% of Americans believe in the God of the Bible. This number doesn’t even get into real believers or false converts, but self-professed believers in God. So I ask you, “Do you believe in God?” Do you know the Lord?  [Read more…]

New Beginnings

New Beginnings

I know of people who are looking forward to this new year in 2019. Some are hopeful to get away from drugs or alcohol addictions. Others are looking forward to graduating this year and getting full-time jobs. There seems to be a lot of hope and people looking to reinvent themselves with new beginnings.  [Read more…]

Nearly Deserted Campus

Ministry Update January 13, 2018

Missouri State University is currently offering Winter Intersession classes. These are typically one to three week classes offered during Christmas break and they must be intense. It is my understanding that the students have to cover the same amount of material that they would in a regular semester class. It’s been several years since I’ve witnessed at MSU during one of these intersession class times and I found the campus nearly deserted.  [Read more…]

The Chasing Evangelist

Ministry Update January 6, 2019

Friday night Pastor Joshua, Thomas and I witnessed downtown. Thomas typically chases people down the sidewalk whether they accept or refuse a tract. Friday night I witnessed him walking with people to the East, West and South. This is not unusual. But this time I did ask the chasing evangelist what he says to people as he’s walking beside them, especially when they refuse a tract.  [Read more…]

What Do You Affirm?

What Do You Affirm?

We are quickly coming upon the New Year. This is when many people give up things or vow to improve themselves. Some people commit to losing weight, exercising more, saving money, finding a friend or a new job. The list could go on and on. But tonight, I don’t really want to talk about your New Year’s resolution. Instead, I’d rather focus on what you already believe. I’d love to hear what you affirm. What do you live by? What is important to you? How do you determine truth? What are your beliefs? What do you affirm?  [Read more…]
