Friday night the Springfield Opera celebrated their 40-year gala at the Gillioz Theatre. I’m sure they had a sweet time at the gala. Ben and I had sweet Christian fellowship outside. While I was bringing a message, Ben rode up on his bicycle. He’s the same guy that recently prayed for me when I had a rough day and couldn’t even open-air preach that night. But this time I was talking about God being angry with the wicked forever and after the message, Ben and I had a great brotherly discussion. It was a sweet time of fellowship. [Read more…]

Do Not Fret Over Evildoers

In Psalm 37, King David tells us: Do not fret over evildoers. We are not to fret over the workers and patrons of Planned Parenthood. He also tells us that we are not to be envious of you. Your life is but a vapor. You will fade like the grass withers. You are here today and gone tomorrow. If you die in your sins, die as a baby murderer, you will split Hell wide open after you die. You will suffer the flames of Hell for all eternity for your sins, all your sins, for your rebellion against God. Killing little babies in the womb is an abomination to God and you rightly and justly will suffer God’s wrath for this great evil, if you do not repent and trust Jesus. [Read more…]

Many times it’s quiet when my wife and I witness at Planned Parenthood. We go there, I open-air preach and we leave. Sometimes there’s zero interaction. But that was not the case this last Wednesday. I had three admonishers and one woman put a curse on me. I joked with my wife that we got our money’s worth that day. People didn’t like that I was lifting up Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. My wife and I were on vacation this week, but on Saturday July 13, 2019, I had the privilege of witnessing with Brady, his wife Trish, Shane, Gerald, his wife and son and a young lady that was with their group. We did street evangelism at Bricktown in Oklahoma City and it was a real labor of love. It was a joy and honor to labor for the Lord with these evangelists in Oklahoma City. [Read more…]

Friday night witnessing was a little strange this week. It was Artwalk and there was a band on the square and the street around the square was blocked off to traffic. Also, just North of our normal witnessing spot, Jefferson was blocked off to traffic and there was another band playing there. They were so loud, that Conner and I crossed the street and I brought a short message with the amp at about half volume. One guy stopped and shook my hand and thanked me for sharing the Gospel. But after I finished, Conner said that he wanted to go to the square and talk to the Atheists set up there. We did talk to them, but turns out Atheists demand the impossible. [Read more…]

Saving Faith

I know people who only have intellectual knowledge of Jesus. They believe that He suffered God’s wrath over sin while Jesus hung on the cross. These people believe that Jesus was beaten beyond recognition, that Jesus suffered, bled, died on the cross and rose from the grave three days later. Because they believe these facts, they also believe they are saved. They believe that they won’t go to Hell when they die, all because they believe these truths about Jesus. There are an estimated 400,000 Christian missionaries who literally take the Gospel to the farthest ends of the earth. Missionaries are in most countries around the world. We had another blessed time witnessing downtown Friday night. Scotty McCreery was performing at the Gilloz Theatre and the weather was perfect, especially after all the recent storms. So there was good foot traffic and we had the usual mix of mockers and encouragers. But while I was bringing a message about condemnation and Jesus saying those who don’t believe will be damned a guy stopped to talk to Pastor Joshua and told him Jesus would never say that. There will be no excuses on Judgment Day and make no mistake, there is a day of judgment that is coming. And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment (Hebrews 9:27). A day of reckoning is coming for all unrepentant sinners and unbelief, ignorance, outright rejection or rebellion will be no excuse.
