Actually my friends and I witnessed downtown last Friday night like we always do. There just happened to be a bunch of immoral men and women downtown who were protesting because women can’t run around in public without wearing a top. Yes, Jesus was born in a manger. He was fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life and He suffered God’s wrath over sinners like you and me before He died a cruel death on the cross. He rose victoriously from the grave, defeating sin, death, Hell and Satan and He sits at the right hand of God the Father. He is the only Savior. Jesus is the King of kings. Have you come to Jesus? Have you repented and put your faith in Him? Are you saved? He is the risen Savior and His reign will no know end. Jesus will reign forever. Repent and believe the Gospel.
We are all running a race (whether we realize it or not). How will you finish? My friends and I come out here on Friday nights to share the glorious Gospel with you. We want to finish the race strong. We have surrendered our lives to Jesus Christ and we want to finish the race with a strong finish. We want to finish our time on this earth telling others about Jesus. I saw a picture of an old man the other day and he had pinned to his hat “Jesus Saves” and he’s standing out on a sidewalk holding his Bible up in the air. I want to start off tonight by reading Matthew 8:1-13: When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

Last weekend was the Halloween Pub Crawl and several of us were out here witnessing. We saw many people last Saturday night dressed up in costumes. Many people were wearing masks last Saturday. I suspect that we will see people out here tonight who are wearing masks, since it’s Halloween. So right now I want to ask if any of you out here tonight that are dressed up in costumes, are Christians? Are there any Christians out here tonight that are all dressed up in costumes, wearing masks and do you intend to head to the bars and drink or head off to a party and get drunk tonight? Recently we were out here street witnessing and I talked to a young man that had been drinking. I asked if he’d been drinking and he said “what does that matter?” Then I asked him if he was headed to a bar and he said that he was. So I asked him if Jesus was his drinking buddy and he said “Yes He is.” The young man then proceeded to tell me that he guarantees that he’s won more people to Christ by going into the bars than I have by proclaiming the Gospel on the street. Today, I want to read some wonderful descriptions of Jesus found in Isaiah Chapter 9. But it seems prudent to start with Isaiah 8:13, which states: Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. Now many people would rather hear about the love of God and the wonderful names that Jesus is known by. But this is Bible and this is real. My sister and I blamed each other when we were growing up. When we did something wrong, we would blame it on the other one. I used to blame my wife when things went wrong when we worked together. Even if it was an employee’s fault – an employee that I hired, I would still blame my wife for their mistakes. [Read more…]
