Preaching Hard

Ministry Update May 15,2106

Hard Preaching

Friday night Kelly, Steven, Aaron, Erica, Diana and Elise and I were getting ready to start the night singing hymns when Cody and Rob walked up to see what we were doing. It turns out that they go to the same church I belong to – Crossway Baptist Church. They sang some hymns with us and hung around while Kelly brought a message about hard preaching. He gave many examples in the Bible where Jesus preached hard, John the Baptist and others preached hard. It was a great message and a timely message in this current day and age where most people are worried about being politically correct. Keep preaching hard brother Kelly!

What Race Are You Running

What Race Are You Running?

We understand that you are here to see the horse races, especially the grand daddy race tomorrow – the Kentucky Derby. But what race are you running? The rat race? The keeping up with the Joneses race? A religious race? The fast track race at work? What race are you running?  [Read more…]

Jesus Saves!

We get accused of being harsh and judgmental when we are street preaching, so tonight I thought I’d say: Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Jesus saves! We have heard the joyful sound:  Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Praise God, this is good news. It’s worth repeating. Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Jesus saves!  [Read more…]

Another Ticket!

Ministry Update April 24, 2016

Another ticket! No, I’m not joking. Same old, same old. Three men preach using the same amplifier, but Aaron was the only one who received a ticket. Aaron showed the police officer and the acting Sergeant the agreement that he has with the city, but they totally ignored it. I pointed out to the first officer that it wasn’t fair that Aaron was being ticketed when three of us were preaching so he took my license, but in the end he handed it back to me and only ticketed Aaron. This is blatant harassment and it is wrong.  [Read more…]

Forsaken

Many of us celebrated Resurrection Sunday last weekend or Easter Sunday as a lot of people call it. My pastor preached on the risen Savior. Jesus has risen indeed. He’s alive! I know that I will live forever because my Redeemer lives. But why did He rise from the dead?  [Read more…]

No!

I was going to call this update No!; but I decided on Ultimate No after witnessing downtown Friday night. Before I talk about Friday night though, I’ll start off telling you about witnessing at MSU last Wednesday. I started off handing out tracts that a friend gave me that he bought at the Shepherds Conference. I had 200 of them with me, but I only gave out 100. Many students said no thank you when I offered them a tract and others just said no.  [Read more…]

Free Hugs Again

When Aaron and I got to MSU last Wednesday, some students were there offering free hugs again. The worst part is a couple of them spent the majority of the time arguing with us, trying to tell us we are presenting Jesus the wrong way while all they were doing was offering free hugs again!  [Read more…]

Bruce Listening To Aaron

Ministry Update February 21, 2016

Human Too

Human Too Feb 16 2016

I finished up open-air preaching at MSU on Tuesday February 16, 2016 and started handing out tracts when Aaron began preaching. I handed out a few tracts when they guy who last week said that he was human walked up with another guy and they stopped right in front of Aaron. I walked over to him and said you know last week when you said that you were human; I assume you meant that you are a humanist. He shook his head yes. I continued I thought about this the last week and we are all humans and the Bible says that we all have sinned. He told me that he didn’t have time to talk because he takes his job very seriously. I pointed out to him that I didn’t preach to him last week and that I wasn’t preaching to him that day, I actually walked over to see what he was petitioning for and he said that they were petitioning for all parents of elementary students to get free child care. I thanked him and he walked off to go to work somewhere else.  [Read more…]

Drink a Lot of Budweiser

Budweiser

Do we have any Broncos fans out here tonight? After the Denver Broncos won the Super Bowl last Sunday, Peyton Manning said this in an interview: “I’m gonna drink a lot of Budweiser tonight, Tracy, I promise you that.” Peyton’s big plans after winning his second Super Bowl was to drink a lot of Budweiser. How many of you out here tonight are going to be like Peyton Manning? Are you planning on drinking a lot of Budweiser tonight? Is this your goal tonight? Are you planning on getting drunk tonight?   [Read more…]

Sharing Your Faith Is…

January 30, 2016 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

Sharing Your Faith Is...

You are a Christian and you know that since you are saved, since you have eternal life, that you should share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. But you are scared. You don’t know where to start. You don’t know what to do. Fear not. Sharing your faith is…easy.

1. Buy some Gospel tracts – the ones seen in this video are from The Way of the Master (Living Waters) that a friend gave me to use at Missouri State University called The Atheist Test. 2. Go to a busy corner. 3. Smile, hold the tract out and say “did you get one of these?” or “hi” or “hello.”

You can share your faith in Jesus with others and it really is this easy. Jesus said go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). There is no easier way to be obedient to Jesus than to hand out a Gospel tract. Will you do this? Sharing your faith is…easy, really easy.
