The Bible clearly proves that Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, is the Christ. He is The Anointed One. He is the Savior of the world. Jesus is the Messiah that was prophesied about in the Old Testament. I have repented from my sins and put my trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior because He is the Christ. He is the only way of salvation. Jesus is the only one who could take away my sins. I love, worship, and adore Jesus Christ the Lord. I believe with all my heart that he is the Christ. Friday night while I was bringing a message, Conner handed out tracts. He offered tracts to a group of young men and they refused the tracts, but one of them said “I like Jesus.” I like Jesus, just like saying I like the color red. No real emotion or anything. Have we become a society so used to social media that we just break everything down to what we like or dis-like? I didn’t hear the young man, but I suspect it wasn’t just like as in liking a Facebook post. I think the young man was indicating that he likes Jesus. That Jesus is alright by him.  [Read more…]

I Don’t Know Jesus And Don’t Know If I Ever Will

Ministry Update October 15, 2017

Before Kelly and Steven joined me downtown Friday night, I handed out tracts. A lesbian couple walked by holding hands, but I just smiled and offered them a tract. The young woman closest to me took a tract. I figured getting God’s truth in her hand was better than bashing her over the head with warnings that no homosexual shall inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). One guy told me that he’d received my literature before, but he still took a tract and thanked me for being there. Another man was quite supportive and thanked me for sharing the Gospel out on the streets.  [Read more…]

Unless You Believe

What do you believe tonight? Who or what do you believe in? The majority of people nowadays believe in evolution, especially those 30 and under (73% of them believe in evolution). But evolution and secular science can’t explain where we come from, why we are here or where we are going. Atheism at its core is so anti-God that atheists believe everything came from nothing. Some atheists recognize how ludicrous this is, so they now are saying that aliens originally populated the earth.  [Read more…]

At MSU on Wednesday a young lady walked up to me and asked, “Are you tired?” “Not yet,” I replied. Then she said, “What are you doing?” “I’m open-air preaching. She then said ok. I don’t believe the young lady had ever witnessed open-air preaching before. She was too polite to ask, but I saw her look around as if to say no one is listening to you. Since she didn’t actually verbalize the question, I didn’t address her concern, but the thought crossed my mind, well you stopped to talk to me.  [Read more…]

Friday night I was handing out Gospel tracts on a street corner in downtown Springfield, MO when a carload of girls drove by. One of the passengers stuck her head out the window and yelled, “Hey sexy cowboy.” Yes, she yelled this at me. No, I’m not sexy. No, I’m not a cowboy. But I am a follower of Jesus Christ who believes we are to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. We are supposed to deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow Jesus. When Christians venture outside of their homes and their churches, they will hear strange comments. But we really shouldn’t be surprised when lost people act lost.  [Read more…]

If you have ever heard me sharing the Gospel before then you most likely have heard me say the word repent. A lot of times I say repent and surrender your life to Jesus or repent and believe the Gospel. Or maybe you’ve heard me say repent and trust Jesus or repent and put your faith in Jesus. I say these words because I truly want you to repent and be converted. My desire is to see you saved. I hope to see you one day in Heaven and you can’t make it there without Jesus Christ. Just The Facts

The start of the message is going to show my age because I’m going to reference the old TV show Dragnet. I remember watching reruns of the show as a kid in the late 1960’s and Joe Friday saying, “Just the facts ma’am.” My wife remembers this saying too. Even though I did a little research and found out that these words just the facts were never spoken on the show. Friday night Polly and I went witnessing downtown. Another group was at our usual corner, so my plan was to go one block closer to the square at South and McDaniel. We got there before 8 pm and it was busy. This was the first Friday in August and Artwalk. So, several tracts were handed out on the corner.
