Sam I Am

Ministry Update January 31, 2018

I witnessed at Missouri State University during the lunch hour today. Handed out tracts on the way to the witnessing spot, then when I brought a message explaining why I share the Gospel with them. Because God is great. Right off the bat one student stopped right in front of me to listen. Then Quinn the skateboarding atheist stopped and sat on his skateboard. He asked questions and even though he wasn’t sincere, I used his questions to address the crowd that he drew.  [Read more…]

Love And Honor My Wife

Love And Honor My Wife

Ministry Update January 21, 2018

I love and honor my wife. Yes, I am the spiritual leader of our home, but that doesn’t mean that I run roughshod over my godly wife. The apostle Paul said a man is to love his wife as Jesus loved the church (Ephesians 5:25). How did Jesus love the church? He died for us true believers! The reason I’m pointing this out is because my precious wife requests that I don’t do open-air preaching downtown on Friday nights when I’m by myself. (Sometimes my wife comes out with me, but we drove 14 hours back from Michigan on Thursday and she only had four hours sleep. So obviously I didn’t ask her to go downtown with me). Friday night, my ministry partners couldn’t make it, so I was witnessing on my own. Because I love and honor my wife, I didn’t open-air preach. Instead, I handed out Gospel tracts.  [Read more…]

Peace Be Still

Peace Be Still

Peace Be Still

Tonight, I want to talk about peace. Don’t you want peace? Wouldn’t you love to see world peace? Do you want peace in your home, at work, peace in your life? I should ask, do you have peace in your life? Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace. He is the one who said “Peace be still.”  [Read more…]

Good Fellowship

Ministry Update January 7, 2018

Even though it was cold Friday night (but not as cold as other parts of the country), we had good fellowship. Kelly, Conner, Brandon and I had a great time visiting. Conner’s friend Brandon has done street witnessing before, but Friday was his first time open-air preaching. Praise God! We pray that it won’t be his last time.  [Read more…]

Wake The Dead

Wake The Dead

Wake the dead. No, I’m not talking about zombies or the living dead. I’m talking about waking the dead, as in several biblical accounts of Jesus raising people from the dead. He raised up the son of the widow at Nain. Jesus also raised Jarius’ daughter from the dead. My second favorite account of Jesus raising someone from the dead is where Jesus told Lazarus to come out of the tomb.  [Read more…]

Pro-Satan and Anti-God

Ministry Update December 31, 2017

Are you pro-Satan and anti-God? Of course not you say? Well, are you pro-choice, pro-abortion? If so, then you are pro-Satan. Even if this makes you mad, please keep reading and I will show you biblically how being pro-abortion makes you pro-Satan and anti-God. It’s a sobering thought to think that you are against God.  [Read more…]

Jesus Came To Save His People From Their Sins

Jesus Came To Save His People From Their Sins

Ministry Update December 24, 2017

I tried something different on Wednesday since there weren’t any classes in session at MSU because of Christmas break.  I held a sign at the corner of Glenstone and Battlefield during the lunch hour. The sign states: Jesus Came To Save His People From Their Sins. Are You One Of His People? Have You Repented And Surrendered Your Life To Jesus? It was only five days until Christmas. Most people were probably thinking about shopping or lunch. Maybe some were even thinking about Christmas – about the birth of Jesus. So, was it wrong to bring up the fact that Jesus came to save His people from their sins?  [Read more…]

No Other Name

I think the post No Other Name Under Heaven was just the second one I posted. It’s a short one but it gets to the heart of the matter. What name are you trusting in? There is no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Jesus, precious Jesus is the only Savior. Is He your Lord and Savior? Have you repented and surrendered your life fully and completely to Him?

Bible Comes Alive

Bible Comes Alive

Ministry Update December 3, 2017

I love God’s word and I love reading the Bible. God constantly reveals truth to us through the Holy Spirit while reading the Bible, no matter how many times we’ve read a passage of Scripture. What’s really fascinating is how the Bible comes alive while out street witnessing. Many times we’ll be open-air preaching and just right on cue, God sends a mocker walking by that confirms His truth contained in His word. It never gets old seeing God proving the reliability of Bible when He makes it come alive.  [Read more…]

Billions And Billions Of Years

November 28, 2017 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

Billions and Billions of Years

When I was a kid, it seems like school books used to claim that the universe was 4.5 million years old. Now, the latest theories are that the universe is around 14 billion years old. (Some even claim up to 20 billion years old). It seems the harder the secular society tries to explain the age of the universe; the answer tends to be just add more billions and billions of years. But no matter how many billions and billions of years they keep pushing it out, they still can’t explain how it began.  [Read more…]
