The Chasing Evangelist

Ministry Update January 6, 2019

Friday night Pastor Joshua, Thomas and I witnessed downtown. Thomas typically chases people down the sidewalk whether they accept or refuse a tract. Friday night I witnessed him walking with people to the East, West and South. This is not unusual. But this time I did ask the chasing evangelist what he says to people as he’s walking beside them, especially when they refuse a tract.  [Read more…]

They Repented Not

They Repented Not

I was reading the Bible the other day and ran across these heart-breaking words – they repented not. Jesus is speaking and He’s talking about the cities where He performed miracles, where He preached the Gospel and they would not listen. They did not have ears to hear. They did not repent. Jesus shared the Gospel, spoke truth to the people and they repented not.  [Read more…]

I’m Good

I’m Good

The sign here says Kneel To Jesus. I borrowed my friends sign because one day we will all kneel to Jesus, whether today you believe this or not. Every knee will bow, every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Today, you may be a God mocker or a God scoffer, but one day you will bow your knee, you will confess that Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. That He is right. That He is just. You will confess that Jesus is righteous.  [Read more…]

I’m sorry that we missed the Ask an Atheist a Question Event that just ended because I have a question for you. Are you damned? I know this is a strange way to start the message, but I want you to really think about this. Are you damned? No you say? How do you know? What are you counting on? Your own goodness? Are you positive that you are not damned because you are basically a good person? How do you know that you aren’t damned?

Jesus Is Lord

One of the verses that I quote when we’re out open-air preaching is Romans 10:9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It is a mighty powerful verse. Unfortunately, I’m afraid it is one of the most abused and misused verses in the whole Bible.  [Read more…]

Entertaining the Devil and Worldly Pleasures

February 12, 2015 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

If you are entertaining the devil and worldly pleasures, please repent and believe the Gospel. If you are a professing Christian, you can’t claim Jesus Christ and continue entertaining the devil. When Jesus is Lord of your life, you give up the pleasures of the flesh and worldly pleasures. God tells us to be holy because He is Holy (Leviticus 20:26). Have you given up cussing? Have you given up filthy TV shows and movies? Have you stopped listening to trashy music? I’m not asking you to do this under your own power, but through the power of the Holy Spirit. When you are saved, the Holy Spirit lives inside you. When you are saved, your body becomes a temple of God (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). God resides in you! God gives you the power to overcome the temptations of the flesh (1 Corinthians 10:13).  [Read more…]
