Recently I took some expired cough medicine. I didn’t feel good so I went to the medicine cabinet and found the cough syrup. I looked at the expiration date and saw that it had expired over a year ago! I felt so bad, that I took the medicine anyway. [Read more…]
In 1 Corinthians 9:22, the apostle Paul said that he tried to reach the lost by all means possible. Do we have this same attitude toward people who are lost and on the road to Hell? Do we proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by all means? Some means? Any means at all?
How will you share your faith with others today? Even if you have no evangelism training at all, you can share your testimony with others. Be bold as a lion in Jesus Christ our Lord through the Holy Spirit and witness to someone today – by any means.
Merry Christmas! May we all remember why we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord. He was born to die and He saves His people from their sins. Are you one of His (John 10:27)? Have you been adopted into the family of God (Galatians 4:3-7)? If not, what is keeping you from doing so right now?
For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9). For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). If you are an unrepentant sinner, please cry out to God to save you. Repent and believe the Gospel (Mark 1:15). Do this today!
Christian: You may not be comfortable proclaiming the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through a megaphone. That’s understandable. But are you speaking His name to someone? To anyone? Are you confessing Jesus to others?
Then in Luke 12:9, Jesus goes on to say, “But he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.” Do you really want Jesus to deny you? Even if you are bashful or shy, you can still share your faith with others. Tell someone your testimony. Tell a family member or friend that you want to practice on them. No matter how you start, just start today! Be sure to include the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord in your testimony. Tell others how they can receive the Good News and how God can forgive them of their sins if they will repent and put their faith in Jesus.
I’m no George Whitefield, but I’ve been accused of presenting a harsh Gospel so I’d like to clear the air. If you mean by presenting people with the truth as found in the Bible, then I admit that I do that. If I’m accused of teaching a harsh Gospel because I talk too much about the wrath of God, then I plead guilty to that charge too. Why do I talk so much about the wrath of God?
