Every Friday night street witnessing is different. We never know what we are going to encounter. Sometimes mockers, other times encouragers and periodically both. Last week there were many of us witnessing and this week only two of us. Friday night it was a real blessing to have Rich join Kelly, Conner and I witnessing downtown. Rich and his family have been living in China for nearly three years and they just got into Springfield on Wednesday and I’m sure he was still jet lagged. Now that I think of it, Rich witnessed with Kelly and I at MSU just a few days before he left for China in August 2015. So he came back and joined us the same he joined us before he left. While Aaron, Kelly, Steven, Erica, Diana, Elise and I were singing hymns, a young teenager came up and asked if we were Christians? After being told yes, she walked back to her friend. Just about the time I started bringing a message, the same teenager came back over and wanted to talk about homosexuality. I invited them to listen to my message “We Don’t Want God, We’re Gay” and they sat down and listened for a while. But before long, they were a stirred up crowd and they started going crazy. Ministry Update: September 27, 2015
Friday night September 25, 2015 we sang hymns to start the night off and then Kelly preached first. He preached against the pope, Rick Warren and T.D. Jakes – he preached against false prophets. He had a heckler get right in his face telling Kelly that he shouldn’t judge and sadly he was the typical judge not heckler. They know Matthew 7:1, but that must be one of the only verses that they know out of the whole Bible. Because if you read just a few verses farther, Jesus is saying don’t be a hypocrite. Don’t tell others they shouldn’t steal if you are a thief. Don’t condemn adultery if you are out committing adultery. Jesus is saying don’t be a hypocrite. [Read more…]
Ministry Update August 23, 2015
The fall semester started this last week at MSU and they have a record enrollment this year. There were more students than usual coming out of and going into Strong Hall when I was witnessing there on Wednesday. There were a few hecklers, but the best one was Britt. He is pictured above and he started spouting off garbledy gook while I was open-air preaching. Some students stopped to see what was going on. [Read more…]

Actually my friends and I witnessed downtown last Friday night like we always do. There just happened to be a bunch of immoral men and women downtown who were protesting because women can’t run around in public without wearing a top.
