You Preach Hate
Even though it was Art Walk Friday night, it was below freezing and the crowds were low. Erica and I handed out tracts, sang a few hymns and I was on the box talking about The Buckle is Rusted when a young man yelled out “you are preaching hate.” I had to laugh and I replied “I haven’t even started reading the Bible yet. I’m talking about how sad it is that there are 900 kids in foster care in Greene County. How is that preaching hate?” [Read more…]

Aaron and I witnessed at MSU last Wednesday. A couple walked by while I was just starting my message and I was talking about CEO’s of large corporations. The young woman started dancing as she walked by singing “I’m going to Hell, I’m going to Hell.” I interrupted my message and told her that she is headed to Hell if she doesn’t repent and trust Jesus and it won’t be all dancing and fun and games in Hell. The young man with her was also dancing and he yelled back “God loves everyone.” I told him that he needs to read the Bible, especially Psalm 7:11 and Psalm 5:5 which say that God is angry with the wicked every day and that God hates all workers of iniquity.

Apathy. I could state this one word and end the update here. When Aaron and I witnessed at Missouri State University on Wednesday, we faced mainly apathetic students. Most students just walked by while we preached the Gospel in the open-air. More students refused tracts than took them. We mainly met apathy that day. [Read more…]
Busy Week
Ministry Update October 4, 2105
This last week was a busy week. In fact, I was so busy at work on Monday that I didn’t get to join Aaron and several others from his church at Missouri State University. They joined some other Christians that day and they handed out around 40 to 50 pizzas to students, sang hymns, preached the Gospel and handed out tracts. Praise God! [Read more…]

Kelly and his son were the first ones downtown Friday night (and Kelly’s son wants to come downtown and hand out tracts – praise God!) and I joined them, so we handed out tracts before our other friends showed up. In the picture above, Kelly handed the lady a tract and he was trying to ask her spiritual questions, but she kept talking so much about random things, I’m not sure that he made much headway.

Actually my friends and I witnessed downtown last Friday night like we always do. There just happened to be a bunch of immoral men and women downtown who were protesting because women can’t run around in public without wearing a top. Angry Atheists Ministry Update July 19 2015

Rich and I joined Aaron, Diana, Elise and Andre from witnessing on the square in downtown Springfield, MO last Friday night. The crowd was small, but we sang hymns and lifted up the glorious name of Jesus anyway. Overall it was pretty quiet night. We handed out a few tracts and while Rich was preaching, a couple walked up and stood near me. I tried to hand them tracts. Benjamin (Pictured above on the left) refused a tract and the woman next to him (also pictured above) backed up a little bit and told me to get the tract away from her or she would burn. Should You Ask Jesus Into Your Heart?
You didn’t grow up going to church. Sure your parents took you every now and then for Christmas or Easter, but that was about it. Now You have a friend who has been pestering you for years to come to church. You finally break down, you finally relent. The contemporary music is more exciting than you thought it would be. The congregation is almost getting swept away in the music. Then the pastor brings a riveting message and he is a phenomenal speaker. The worship leader then starts singing Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling. The preacher is summoning unbelievers to come forward during the time of the invitation. You can’t really explain it, but you feel compelled to walk forward. You get to the front and a gentleman asks you if you want to ask Jesus into your heart? Should you do it?
