Love Not Hate

Love Not Hate

Love not hate. Students I come here and share the Gospel with you every week out of love not hate. I do not hate you. If I hated you, I would not spend my lunch hour hear pleading with you to come to Jesus Christ. If I hated you, I wouldn’t care if you died in your sins and you went on to Hell. But I do not hate you. I lift my voice up so you can hear me from several directions as you are coming and going. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God so my great desire is for you to hear God’s truth, that He will convict you over your sins and that the Lord would grant you eternal life.  [Read more…]

The Super Bowl

The Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is coming up this weekend. The New England Patriots are playing the Atlanta Falcons. The last I heard, tickets were going for an average of $4,600 a piece. Can you imagine that? Can you imagine paying over $9,000 for you and someone else to attend the Super Bowl in person? I wouldn’t waste that amount of money on a game, even if I had that much to throw around. The price to get into the game is very high.  [Read more…]

Salvation By The Grace Of God

Salvation By The Grace Of God

Sometimes my friends and I get accused of trying to shove our religion down people’s throats. We get accused of this because we do stand on the street corner and call people to repent and to trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We believe the Bible. We believe Jesus. We are doing as Jesus commanded us to do – to preach the Gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).  [Read more…]

Who Is Really On Trial?

Who Is Really On Trial?

Who is really on trial? I want you to picture a courtroom. There’s a judge, jury, bailiff, prosecutor, defendant and the gallery. Everyone is in their spot, except for the defendant. Instead of sitting at the defense table with his attorney, the defendant is sitting where the judge should be! Don’t you imagine that it wouldn’t take very long for the bailiff to snatch that defendant out there and slap handcuffs on him? Can you see how absurd this would be?  [Read more…]

Nice Problem

Ministry Update September 25, 2016

On Friday nights we typically pray, sing hymns, preach and sing hymns to end the night. But last Friday we couldn’t even get started praying at first because people were coming up to us and asking us questions. We had four or five one on one conversations before we even prayed! Now that’s a nice “problem” to have.  [Read more…]

Why Do We Do This?

Why do we do this? Why do we come out here week after week and share the Gospel? Why do we do this when we know we are going to be verbally attacked or every now and then even physically attacked? Why do we do this when we know we are more than likely to encounter mockers and scoffers? Why do we do this?  [Read more…]

Ministry Update January 17, 2016

This Isn’t How You Reach Our Generation

“What are you saying?” “Why are you doing this?” “Why are you yelling?” “Tell them about the love of Jesus.” “Nobody’s listening to you.” “This isn’t how you reach our generation.” “You need to talk to us one to one.” These were some of the comments that I heard last Wednesday at MSU, mainly from six young men that came over and talked to me after I finished open-air preaching. I didn’t point out the irony that they questioned why I was open-air preaching and yet six of them stopped to talk to me.  [Read more…]

Ministry Update September 13, 2015

Christians Don’t Make Excuses For Their Sins

Seek and Save the Lost Gambling
Before I get into the message tonight, I have a confession to make. I sinned today doing the very thing that I’m preaching against tonight. God convicted me through my wife that what I was doing was wrong. You see, I belong to a business networking group and they sell raffle tickets and if your ticket is drawn, you get a chance to draw the winning card – the joker. They were down to six cards and the amount you could win was over $3,000. My message tonight is that Christians Don’t Make Excuses For Their Sins. When my wife asked me when I pay $5 for a chance to win $3,000, isn’t that’s gambling, I had to admit that it is. But before she asked that question and before I answered yes, I justified what I was doing.  [Read more…]

Ministry Update

An open-air preacher friend of mine (Brad) suggested that I start giving updates of our witnessing outreaches. He said that other people have told him that the updates encourage them the share their faith in Jesus Christ. So after praying about this, I’m going to try to give updates after my friends and I have been out witnessing. So please let me know if you believe any updates are trying to put the spotlight on my friends or myself. The purpose of the updates are twofold: 1. Bring honor and glory to God 2. Encourage other Christians to share their faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.  [Read more…]
