Went Around The Block And Came Back

Ministry Update December 6, 2020

It was cold Friday night, so Keven and I discussed walking around and handing out tracts after the message. So as soon as I finished open-air preaching, I grabbed my witnessing bag and off we went. To our surprise, a man chased us half a block away. When he caught up with us, he thanked me for open-air preaching. He said he was driving by and heard the message, went around the block and came back to listen to the rest of it. The guy said we need more preaching on the streets. Keven told him some other guys were going to do the same thing in about 30 minutes. Keven asked him if we could pray for him and he said yes. Friday night witnessing downtown, I had encouragers, mockers and a couple of homeless people threaten me. The highlight of the night was Jimmy. He’s a homeless guy that listened to the whole message. When he first walked up, I said, “Do you have a question?” He replied, “No, I just want to listen.” So I walked over and talked to him afterwards and he said, “This is very edifying. Friday night Kelly, Aaron, Margaret, Diana, Elise, Desi and I started off singing hymns like normal. Then Kelly started us off with the first message. He had a car that kept driving by with a woman at the wheel and a man in the passenger seat. She laid on the horn and he stuck his head out the window motioning that he couldn’t hear Kelly. Friday night Aaron, Serenity and I knew it was going to be a wild night witnessing downtown Springfield, MO. Before we even started singing hymns, a woman in the front passenger seat of a car driving by stuck her head out the window and yelled something that was sexually inappropriate. The wickedness didn’t stop there, no it continued the whole time we were downtown. Three of us from Springfield and four evangelists from Rolla, Missouri went to the Kentucky Derby Outreach 2015 the first weekend in May and we had a great time lifting up the name of Jesus at the derby. There were 31 evangelists there from all around the country who participated in the Sports Fan Outreach International event and it was a real joy and blessing to proclaim the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6) with our fellow laborers.  [Read more…]
