Blah Kind Of Witnessing Time

Blah Kind Of Witnessing Time

I witnessed at Missouri State University on Wednesday and later that day, I told my wife about it and said that it was a blah kind of witnessing time. Then she clarified that it was uneventful and I agreed, that was a better way of stating it. I always hope and pray that God will bless the tracts and the messages, but from our perspective, it was an uneventful lunch hour.

The wind gusts were 30 miles per hour, so it was really windy. I handed out tracts before and after open-air preaching. I tried to strike up a conversation with a couple of twin girls, but they just politely took tracts and kept walking. Same thing happened later on when I tried to talk to a couple of brothers. Most of the students were in a hurry to get to class and didn’t have time to talk.

Guilty Conscience Can Be Wiped Clean

There weren’t any mockers or encouragers when I brought a message. One student made eye contact with me as he walked right in front of me. I was pleading with students to repent and surrender their lives to Jesus. The young man turned the corner and was walking away from me when I pointed out that your sins can be forgiven and your guilty conscience can be wiped clean. He turned around a looked at me, but then kept walking. I couldn’t tell if he thought I was talking directly to him or not, but I pray that God will reach him if he isn’t saved.

Lady Asked For A Bible

I didn’t make it downtown Friday night to witness, but I praise God that Anand, Michael and Joshua made it. They handed out tracts and Anand said that Joshua and Michael spoke a bit to a couple of people. He said the highlight of the night was when they were standing there handing out tracts and a lady drove up in a car and asked for a Bible. Praise God that Michael had one with him and he gladly gave it to her. I’m very grateful that my friends witnessed Friday night.

(These updates are given to encourage Christians to share the Gospel with this lost and dying world)

I Want To Talk To You How You Got The Way You Are

I Want To Talk To You How You Got The Way You Are

Ministry Update December 8, 2019

While I was open-air preaching at Missouri State University on Wednesday, a student politely interrupted me and said, “I want to talk to you about how you got the way you are.” I assured him that I’d be happy to talk to him, but I was just getting ready to share my testimony and that would answer his question. Since I wanted all the students nearby to hear, I would go ahead and tell everyone how I became a Christian and then we could talk one to one. Surprisingly, he agreed and stood around for the next few minutes. [Read more…]

Misjudging God

Misjudging God

In 2 Chronicles 32:1-22, the Bible tells us of an Assyrian king that greatly misjudged God. King Sennacherib had defeated many nations when he set his sights on Judah. Sennacherib even taunted the people of the city of Jerusalem, telling them not to let their king – Hezekiah deceive them into thinking that his God could withstand him. The Assyrian king was foolishly misjudging God.  [Read more…]

The Gift Of God

The Gift Of God

The greatest gift ever given was Jesus Christ. God sent His only Son to suffer, bleed and die on a cruel cross for guilty sinners like us. Jesus willingly laid down His life. He was obedient unto death, even death on the cross. Jesus, the sinless Son of God took the punishment that you and I deserve. We have all sinned against God, yet while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. God offers eternal life to each and every person who repents and puts their trust in Jesus.  [Read more…]

Pokémon Go Craze

The Pokémon Go craze is real. We were witnessing downtown on Friday night and we were blessed with hundreds of people at the square. There were more people at the Pokémon Go event than there were at the gay pride event last month. People are absolutely crazy about Pokémon Go.  [Read more…]

Is There Right and Wrong

Is There Right and Wrong?

Is there right and wrong? Do you know what’s right? Do you know what’s wrong? Are you sure? If you say that there is no right or wrong, wouldn’t you agree that it would be wrong if someone robbed you right now? Wouldn’t you agree that it would be wrong if someone beat you up? What if a drunk driver killed your loved one tonight, wouldn’t you know that was wrong? Wouldn’t you admit that the driver should be punished?  [Read more…]

It Feels Really Good To Be Clean

Seek and Save the Lost Hauling Hay In Barn

Even though I sit behind a desk at work all day, I have physically worked hard at various jobs when I was younger. I’ve mowed lawns, hauled hay, cut wood and even did a little surveying work. I know water tastes great when you are working hard and after a long day of manual labor, it feels really good to be clean.  [Read more…]
