Mockers Prove The Bible Right Yet Again

Ministry Update June 23, 2019

Erica and I witnessed downtown Friday night and it never ceases to amaze me, but mockers prove the Bible right yet again. Time and time again, mockers will walk by and mock and do exactly what the Bible says. Friday night was no exception. God’s word is a savor of life to those who are saved and it is a savor of death to those who are perishing. I love Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior and I love God’s Holy Bible and how God proves His word is true through those who mock Him. [Read more…]

Cold But Not Too Cold For Mockers

Ministry Update February 11, 2018

It was 24 degrees Friday night and the wind chill made it even colder. So I have to admit, that I only lasted about 30 minutes witnessing. It was cold but not too cold for mockers. Several people were out walking around. One guy listened to part of the message for a short time. While I was bringing a message, a car pulled up right in front of me. Two guys hopped out and one of them said something before he jumped on top of the trunk of a car parked near me. But his friend started the car up, so the other guy jumped into the car before he drove off. Right toward the end of my message, four people crossed the street and one woman mocked, but I really couldn’t hear what she said.

Would You Like A Cup of Coffee?

It wasn’t as cold on Wednesday at Missouri State University, but it was cold, windy and rainy. It rained right up until I started witnessing. There were a couple of mockers that day and the man who mocked me last time I was there smiled like he was going to say something as he walked by, but turned out that he didn’t. The highlight of the time on campus was a student that walked up to me and said, “God bless” and asked, “Would you like a cup of coffee?” I told him no thanks and said “God bless” back to him. I’m always grateful for people who encourage open-air preaching.

(May God save many lost souls and these updates are given to encourage Christians to share their faith in our Lord and Savior – Jesus Christ.)

Do You Know The Lord?

The Red Sea

Do You Know The Lord?

According to a PEW Research Center report last year, 80% of Americans believe in God or a higher power. The same report showed that only 56% of Americans believe in the God of the Bible. This number doesn’t even get into real believers or false converts, but self-professed believers in God. So I ask you, “Do you believe in God?” Do you know the Lord?  [Read more…]

Narrow Minded

How would people describe you? Are you a liberal or conservative? Progressive thinker or old fashioned? Do you tend to be politically correct or not? Are you a capitalist or socialist? Right Side Of History

Right Side Of History

We frequently hear in the news about being on the right side of history. When people say this, what they are really saying is that those of us who hold to a biblical worldview, need to forget the Bible and get with the current sexual revolution. They are saying that gay marriage is here to stay and gender identity is fluid and those of us who disagree need to get “on the right side.” If we don’t do so, we are going to find ourselves on the wrong side of history.  [Read more…]

Cars Nearly Crash

We Are Going To Die

Ministry Update November 18, 2018

Pastor Joshua and I witnessed downtown Friday night. Pastor Joshua quoted Hebrews 9:27 and was just saying “we are going to die” when two cars nearly collided right in front of us. They came really close to having a bad wreck while around five people were walking behind one of the cars. Pastor Joshua then said, “You may die in a car wreck.”  It was so scary that when the people crossed the street, one guy bent over with his hands on his knees and said that he was scared to death. It was a scary moment, but oh what a powerful example of how my life and your life can end at any moment. It really drove home the point that life is short and people need to get right with God. Unbelievers need to repent and trust Jesus before it’s too late.  [Read more…]

Angry Atheist Motorcyclist

Harsh Message

Ministry Update June 3, 2018

Conner, Kelly and I were handing out tracts Friday night before we started open-air preaching. I tried to hand tracts to two guys walking by and they refused the offer. I asked the one guy where he’d go if he died tonight. He replied, “I’m not going anywhere you are concerned.” The three of us just looked at each other. The gentleman couldn’t have been more wrong. We are concerned about where people spend eternity. That’s what compels us to go out witnessing.  [Read more…]

Tracts And Interesting Conversations

Ministry Update May 20, 2018

Since this was finals week at Missouri State University, I decided to hand out Gospel tracts and not open-air preach on Wednesday. I prayed and hoped that 200 students would take tracts and they did. Praise God for that and may the Lord bless and multiply the tracts. It was fun doing something a little different. I had a blessed lunch hour handing out tracts and had some interesting conversations.  [Read more…]

Mean Preachers The Day Before

Ministry Update April 15, 2018

It was a real blessing to have Brian join me at MSU on Wednesday. Brian handed tracts while I brought a message that was a little more confrontational than normal, challenging atheists about their illogical worldview. I wasn’t nasty about it; I merely challenged them to look at what they believe and look at the world around us. It was disappointing that Quinn who mocked me the week before while I was exhorting Christians, chose not to show up when I was challenging atheists. He was aware of what I was going to do, so I assume that he really didn’t want to be confronted about his atheism. After my message, I handed out tracts while Brian brought a message about how there really are no atheists (Romans 1:19-23).  [Read more…]

Preaching To The Choir

Preaching To The Choir

Ministry Update November 12, 2017

Friday night Conner and I witnessed downtown. North Point Church had a special event at the Gillioz Theater across the street from us. The event was called The Gathering that I’ve been told they do a couple of times a year. I think the theater holds close to a thousand people and there appeared to be hundreds of people coming out when the event when it was over. So we had a larger crowd than most Friday nights and I’m sure most people walking past us thought we were preaching to the choir. But that’s alright, the choir needs to hear the Gospel too.  [Read more…]
