Out Of This World

When I was a kid, we used to say ‘far out.” We’d say this expression when we thought something was really cool. Jesus is far out. There’s never been anyone like Him and there never will be. He raised people from the dead, healed the blind and lame and fed multitudes of people. In fact, you won’t find anyone else in the Bible who healed a person who was born blind except for Jesus. But Jesus is far out as in out of this world. He is out of this world. He is seated at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven. He truly is far out. He is out of this world.  [Read more…]

Global Warming

Global Warming

Global Warming

Al Gore has gotten rich from scaring people about global warming. He was worth less than 2 million dollars when he ran for president in 2000 and now he’s worth over 175 million dollars. Can you really trust a guy to tell the truth when he’s in it for the money? Many people believe in global warming. In July of last year the researchers trying to prove global warming had to abandon their plans because the ship they were on was an ice breaker ship and the Canadian government needed the ship to  break the ice so supply ships could get through shipping lanes. In other words there was so much ice in the Arctic (the exact opposite of the effects you would expect with global warming) that they had to break up the ice in order for ships to travel. The Arctic ice cap increased by one third of its size in 2013.  [Read more…]

Christians Caused the Holocaust…Really?

Do we have any devout Atheists out here tonight? Are you a staunch Atheist? I’m asking these questions because a couple of weeks ago I posted something on Facebook and some atheists went absolutely berserk over it. Several of them kept asking question after question – rapid fire, but they really weren’t looking for answers. They weren’t looking for truth. They just wanted to state their God-hating position and make fun of Christians. I finally had to follow biblical instruction and ignore them, according to Titus 3:10-11: A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sins, being condemned of himself.

You Haven’t Followed Christ Far If You…

Havner No Wound No Scar Website Pic

You haven’t followed Christ far if you have no wound, no scar. Vance Havner said these words during a sermon where he was paraphrasing Amy Carmichael. I love these words because they are so true. It doesn’t matter if you’ve only been a Christian for a short time or for many years; these words ring true. You haven’t followed Christ far, if you have no wound, no scar. [Read more…]

The school year is already over for a lot of students and some only have a few days left (like my youngest daughter). So most students have taken their finals already. If you are a student how did you do? Did you get 100% on every final exam? Did you pass every test without missing a single point? [Read more…]

god is to Blame!

December 30, 2010 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

Let’s start the new year off right. Let’s assign blame where it truly belongs, god is to blame for all the evil and all the bad stuff in this world! The little g god is to blame. The Bible is very clear that the little god of this world is Satan. 2 Corinthians 4:4 states, “In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” [Read more…]

Are You Disciplined?

Are you disciplined? If you are (or have been) in the military, you are probably disciplined. If you are a parent, you probably have disciplined your children. Most of us who are middle aged were disciplined when we were kids and it wasn’t time out back then for most of us. [Read more…]

We Don’t Do Guilt

June 26, 2010 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

I drove by a church a while back and they had a sign out by the road that said, “We don’t do guilt.” Isn’t that nice? That sounds great. I mean, even when I am guilty of doing something wrong, I don’t like to feel guilty. Who does? So we don’t do guilt sounds really good. [Read more…]
