Do Atheists need a new name? I run into people all the time who claim that they are atheists and they vehemently say, “God is not real” or “there is no God.” They are very adamant in their stance. Atheists do not believe that God exists. The original meaning in the Greek is without God. But atheists aren’t neutral to this God they say doesn’t exist. The Bible clearly proves that Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, is the Christ. He is The Anointed One. He is the Savior of the world. Jesus is the Messiah that was prophesied about in the Old Testament. I have repented from my sins and put my trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior because He is the Christ. He is the only way of salvation. Jesus is the only one who could take away my sins. I love, worship, and adore Jesus Christ the Lord. I believe with all my heart that he is the Christ. Friday night I was handing out Gospel tracts on a street corner in downtown Springfield, MO when a carload of girls drove by. One of the passengers stuck her head out the window and yelled, “Hey sexy cowboy.” Yes, she yelled this at me. No, I’m not sexy. No, I’m not a cowboy. But I am a follower of Jesus Christ who believes we are to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. We are supposed to deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow Jesus. When Christians venture outside of their homes and their churches, they will hear strange comments. But we really shouldn’t be surprised when lost people act lost. [Read more…]
The Gift Of God
The greatest gift ever given was Jesus Christ. God sent His only Son to suffer, bleed and die on a cruel cross for guilty sinners like us. Jesus willingly laid down His life. He was obedient unto death, even death on the cross. Jesus, the sinless Son of God took the punishment that you and I deserve. We have all sinned against God, yet while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. God offers eternal life to each and every person who repents and puts their trust in Jesus. [Read more…]
It’s hard to describe Friday night. We had the usual mockers saying hail Satan, f you, you’re judging me, motorcyclist and drivers revving engines to drown us out as well as a parked motorcyclist blaring his music. We also had the guy back that mooned us – again and a group of girls started dancing together close to where we were witnessing. But praise God there were around 15 to 17 of us witnessing and the preachers kept preaching! [Read more…]

It’s good to be back home and out witnessing again in downtown Springfield, MO. Aaron and I missed the previous two Fridays and we thank Kelly for coming out both those nights. We were back in our usual witnessing spot and our fellow neighbors didn’t let us down. Several Hail Satan’s were shouted out by people walking by, motorcyclists tried to drown out the preaching and singing with their loud stereos and some people stated that we weren’t witnessing the right way. Friday night Brian, Aaron and I preached downtown and it was a night full of people mocking Jesus. I brought a message from Luke 2 about the birth of Jesus, Brian preached on victory in Jesus and Aaron preached on Matthew 1, where the angel foretells the birth of Jesus and that He will save His people from their sins. We weren’t preaching Hell fire and brimstone messages, but many people still mocked Jesus. [Read more…]
No this isn’t a State Farm commercial, it’s an update from Friday night. Aaron, Erica, Diana, Elise and I witnessed downtown. Overall it was a much quieter night than the previous weekend. We had a couple of neighbors in the apartments in the old Heers building come over and complain about the noise of our amplifier. [Read more…]
