God Hears The Prayers Of The Righteous

Does God hear your prayers? A lot of people pray to God. Some people claim to be spiritual and they’ve told me that they pray to God. Even professing Christians who after talking with them for a while, even they figured out that they really weren’t saved. That they had never truly repented of their sins and surrendered their lives to Jesus. Sometimes these same people fall back on, “I pray to God after I sin and He forgives me.” But is this really true? Does God hear their prayers? Does God hear your prayers? [Read more…]

Knowing Is Not Enough

Springfield Missouri is in the Bible Belt. A lot of people around here have grown up in church. Most people in our area know the Gospel. They know the facts about Jesus, how he came to this earth 2,000 years ago. How Jesus is the Son of God and how He took the punishment that guilty people deserve. Yes, many people know how Jesus suffer, bled and died on the cross, was buried and rose again the third day. A lot of people know this, but knowing is not enough.

Just knowing the facts about salvation is not the same thing as salvation itself. Yes, everything I just said is true. Jesus did suffer, bleed and die on the cruel cross and He rose victoriously from the grave three days later. Jesus defeated sin, death, Hell and Satan. This is all true. But knowing these facts do not save you. Again, knowing is not enough.

The Compassion Of Jesus

We just celebrated Thanksgiving. Who or what did you thank? I’ve heard people thank “mother earth” or trees or other things like these. But who did you thank on Thanksgiving? Did you thank God? The one true God of the Bible? I am very thankful to God for my wife, family, friends, home, vehicles, job and so much more and I thank my Heavenly Father for these things. I also especially thank God for the compassion of Jesus. Jesus was very compassionate when He walked this earth 2,000 years ago. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him (Jesus), saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.  And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. All Means All

There is a very liberal church in Springfield, MO that has a message on their church sign that reads: ALL MEANS ALL. I agree with this church that all means all, but unfortunately there is a vast difference between what this church and I think all means all really means. They mean it that they are an open, affirming church. In other words, they affirm people in their sins. Conversely, I have a biblical viewpoint. [Read more…]

No Safe Places In Hell

Every now and then a student at Missouri State University will say they don’t feel safe while I’m open-air preaching. They want to find a safe place. I’m sorry that some young people get “triggered” when hearing God’s truth, but I really don’t know what’s going to happen to this generation. You can’t call time out in real life and say, “I need to go to my safe place.” This isn’t reality. The really sad reality is there are no safe places in Hell. [Read more…]
