Do You Believe God’s Word?
Do you believe God’s word? Do you believe the Bible? In 2017 Barna did a study and found that only 17% of professing Christians in America hold to a biblical worldview. Their definition of a biblical worldview was “believing that absolute moral truth exists; the Bible is totally accurate in all of the principles it teaches; Satan is considered to be a real being or force, not merely symbolic; a person cannot earn their way into Heaven by trying to be good or do good works; Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth; and God is the all-knowing, all-powerful creator of the world who still rules the universe today.”
So you see why I’m questioning: Do you believe God’s word? It is a valid question. If only 17% of professing Christians have a biblical worldview, that means a lot of professing Christians do not hold to a biblical worldview. So what’s wrong with not having a biblical worldview? For one thing, you are placing yourself above God. You are making your own self a little g god and you are saying that you know better than the one true God, who HAS revealed Himself in Scripture.
