Earlier in the week it looked like I was going to be witnessing downtown Friday night by myself and I must confess I was a little bitter about it. God convicted me over my bitterness, I prayed for His forgiveness and received it. God was going to be glorified even if all that happened were a few tracts handed out. Have you ever been in a situation where you thought what have you got to lose? Have you ever been backed into a corner and you come out swinging? You do this because you don’t think that you have anything to lose. Or have you ever been in a bad relationship and you knew that you had nothing to lose to end it? Have you ever been desperate in a dead-end job and decided to go for a new job because you thought what have you got to lose? I’ve been in desperate situations where I felt like I didn’t have any other options; that I didn’t have anything to lose by trying something different. What is the work of God? Notice, I didn’t say the works of God. Many of us can name various works of God; such as when God made the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1) or when God made us human beings (Genesis 1:26-27). God made the angels and Hell for the devil and the fallen angels (even though Hell hath enlarged itself and people foolishly fall into it by dying in their sins – Isaiah 5:14).
