Planned Parenthood Was The Quiet Part?

Planned Parenthood Was The Quiet Part?

I witnessed at Planned Parenthood on Wednesday July 27, 2016 and the strange thing was Planned Parenthood was the quiet part. A few people drove by and honked – mainly opposed to me being there, but a couple were supportive (you can tell the difference). One person drove by and yelled encouraging words and another not so much. But overall Planned Parenthood was quiet. A few people went in and out and I kept preaching against Planned Parenthood. I continued preaching against murdering little babies in the womb. The people coming and going didn’t say anything including a few workers that were probably going to lunch.  [Read more…]

Shut Eyes

Shut Eyes

Shut Eyes

We’ve all heard the expression “I need to get some shut eye.” We know what that means. When we say this we mean that we are looking forward to going to sleep. One of my friends has to go to work early in the morning, so he needs to get home shortly and get some shut eye.  [Read more…]

The Buckle is Rusted

Springfield Missouri is in the Bible Belt and I’ve always heard that we are the buckle of the belt. I think we can even make a good argument that we are the buckle. In addition to having a church on just about every corner, we have several bible colleges and we are home to the Assemblies of God world headquarters. So maybe we are the buckle of the Bible Belt.  [Read more…]

I think Slut Walk is a horrible name for your cause. Do you really want to be known as a slut walker? It sounds too much like street walker. I totally disagree with your method, but I understand your agenda. You are against the rape culture in America. This is something we can agree on.

Did I Sin Today?

We were downtown witnessing last Friday night and I was talking to a man who professed to be a Christian. He kept asking if Hitler was in Hell and if Joseph Smith was in Hell. When I said yes they were, he said that I couldn’t know for sure and he accused me of being judgmental. So I suggested that he shouldn’t worry about Hitler and Smith, but that he should worry about where he would spend eternity. The man assured me that he was a Christian and he was sure of where he was going. This same man said the F-word about 15 or 20 times in just a matter of minutes. He admitted to watching pornography and committing other sins. But like so many people, he said that he was a Christian, even though he was still bound to sin. After he accused me of being judgmental again, he asked me if I had sinned that day.  [Read more…]

Is God Judging America?

America could be described as a modern day land flowing with milk and honey. Our great nation has been blessed by God for over 200 years. But we are no longer great and we are no longer blessed like we once were. So is America under God’s judgment?  [Read more…]

Are You a Good Person?

Seek and Save the Lost Halo

Over the past six years I’ve asked many people while out street witnessing “are you a good person?” About 99% of the people have said yes to that question. I even talked to one young man who told me that he had just gotten out of prison one week earlier where he had served three years for stealing a car. I talked to him for a while and before I asked him the question I thought surely he will admit that he’s not a good person, but he didn’t. I asked him if he was a good person and he said yes, he was. I reminded him that he had just told me that he served three years in prison for stealing a car. So I asked him how he could still be a good person and he said that the reason he stole the car was because his family was hungry, so he didn’t consider it to be a bad thing since his motive was good.  [Read more…]

Do You Believe God?

Seek and Save the Lost Do You Believe God

Do you believe God? Please notice I’m not asking if you believe in God.  According to a Barna Survey in 2011, 86% of Americans say they believe in God. (That number has probably dropped since 2011). No, I’m asking you if you believe God.  [Read more…]

Do You Obey the Risen Savior?

We just celebrated Christmas in remembrance of the birth of Jesus Christ. Jesus was born in a manger. He was fully God and fully man. He was Emmanuel – God in the flesh. We just celebrated Christmas and I dare say that most people probably don’t have a problem with Jesus in the manger. Who doesn’t love a cute little baby? [Read more…]

Apathy and Tolerance

October 20, 2014 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

Apathy website pic

It appears that the majority of Christian churches in America are apathetic to the major issues facing our country. The two greatest sins being committed in our nation are abortion – the murder of 56 million babies in the womb since Roe v. Wade and close behind this is the sin of homosexuality. Only 3.5% of the adult U.S. population identifies with being gay or lesbian. So homosexuality isn’t rampant in our country – yet. But the apathy and tolerance of it is rampant in America and this is even true in the majority of Christian churches. [Read more…]
