Weeping On The Campus

Weeping On The Campus

Ministry Update September 5, 2024

I thank the Lord that hundreds of tracts were handed out at Missouri State University on Wednesday August 28, 2024. After handing out tracts for 30 minutes or so, I did a little open-air preaching. Unfortunately, I turned the ringer off on my phone and didn’t realize that Moses was trying to reach me. I only got to witness with him for 15 or 20 minutes before I had to go back to work. But Moses, his wife Mercy, their daughter-in-law Prasanna and her two oldest daughters got to witness after I left.

Moses sent me an update about an hour later and said there was weeping on the campus. Here’s what his message said: Please pray for Logan who was wrought upon and was weeping when I was preaching at Missouri State University. Sister Prasanna is speaking to him! I immediately started praying for Logan and we all have been praying for him since that time. Brother Moses exchanged numbers with him and is staying in touch with Logan.

Read The Bible Every Night To Our Children

Moses, Anand and Anand’s two oldest daughters and I witnessed downtown Friday night August 30, 2024. I pretty much missed them again. I was the only witnessing before they got there, so we only got to fellowship for a few minutes. A group of three people asked me what church I attend. They said they were believers too, so I asked them to pass the tract on after they had a chance to read it. It was a pretty quiet night, but after I’d been there for a while, a young man came across the street and asked me what I was handing out. I told him they were Gospel tracts and he took one. When I asked him if he knew Jesus, he said that he does. He told me that he’d been in prison and had a bit of a rough life, even though he’d grown up in a Christian home. I asked him if he had a Bible and if he reads it. He told me, “Yes, my wife and I read the Bible every night to our kids”. That was the best conversation that I had Friday night.

Anand sent me this update later on: After you left brother Dennis, we went to the square and my Dad (Moses) open-air preached some. There was loud music, but some people heard my Dad. One woman said she was ready to face God’s judgment in a casual way. Another couple walked away as my Dad spoke against adultery and fornication, but a bit later took Gospel tracts from my Dad. May God bless the tracts and the open-air preaching.

(These updates are given to encourage Christians to share their faith in Jesus with this lost and dying world)

Talk Too Much About Hell

November 24, 2020 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

Talk Too Much About Hell

I’ve been told many times that I talk too much about Hell. Guilty as charged and I don’t plan on changing this. Why? Ray Comfort says that when a doctor tells you that he has a cure for an incurable disease, you just kind of go “uh-huh” and don’t really pay attention. But if the doctor tells you have a deadly disease and there’s nothing you can do about it. Then he describes the disease to you in great detail, your ears perk up. Now you are interested in what the doctor is saying. After the doctor explains this in great details and again says there’s no cure, he further tells you that he sold his possessions and found a cure for you. The doctor doesn’t have to go into great detail about the cure. You immediately want that cure! [Read more…]

What’s Your Opinion On Homosexuality?

Ministry Update January 19, 2020

I was wrapping up open-air preaching at Missouri State University on Wednesday when a student walked up and asked, “What’s your opinion on homosexuality?” My reply was, “It doesn’t matter what my opinion is. The Bible is very clear on it and it’s a sin. First Corinthians 6:9-10 covers this and it’s not just the sin of homosexuality, it covers sexual relations outside of marriage, adultery, drunkards, thieves, idolaters. Every single person on earth falls into at least one of these categories.” [Read more…]

Are You Defiled?

My wife and I started hiking about a year and a half ago. We really enjoy seeing God’s creation and God’s beauty while we are out on the trails. But you know what we don’t like to see? Trash. Some people leave their trash on the trail. This is very selfish and inconsiderate of them. They defile the beautiful scenery with their pollution. [Read more…]

What Is Repentance?

What Is Repentance?

My friends and I come out here on the streets and plead with people to repent and trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We call unrepentant sinners to repent. Yes, we are merely calling you to do what Jesus Himself said. Jesus said “unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” He also said “repent and believe the Gospel.” The Bible says that we are to “have repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” So it is very biblical for us to plead with people to repent and trust Jesus. But what is repentance?  [Read more…]

Speedy Trial

In the United States of America an accused person has the right to a speedy trial. The Sixth Amendment says in part: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed. So if you are accused of a crime in the United States of America, you have the right to a speedy trial.  [Read more…]

Love The Right To Abort Babies

Evidently, the majority of voters in Ireland love the right to abort babies in the womb. Two-thirds of the votes were in favor of overturning the country’s ban on abortions. That’s an even higher percentage of people in Ireland who love the right to abort babies than Americans. According to the Pew Research Center in 2017, 57% of Americans favored abortions for any reason while 40% of Americans say abortion should be illegal in all or most cases.  [Read more…]

Wrath Of God Against Disobedient People

Is God angry with you? No, you say? How do you know? Have you repented from your sins and surrendered your life to Jesus? No, you say? The Death Of Jesus

The Death Of Jesus

It’s only natural that people talk about the birth of Jesus around Christmas time. People all around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is an exciting time. But why was Jesus born in the first place? Why did He leave Heaven to come to the very earth He created and be born of the virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit? Why did Jesus do this? He was born to die. Jesus came to save His people from their sins. So in addition to everyone celebrating the birth of Christ, it makes sense that we should also talk about the death of Jesus.  [Read more…]

Super Bowl Dark Side

I have to admit that there is a real excitement about the Super Bowl. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing at several other ones before and it really gets people hopped up. It is one of the largest spectacles in sports. It’s great to be here amid this large, enthusiastic crowd. But did you know that the Super Bowl has a dark side?  [Read more…]
