Shut Up Idiot And Go Home!
Ministry Update June 2, 2019
While my wife and I witnessed at Planned Parenthood on Wednesday, there were seven cars there. A guy was out front smoking and as soon as I started bringing a message, he quickly put the cigarette out and took the young child that was with him back inside. Evidently people don’t see the irony of bringing small children to Planned Parenthood. We had a couple cars honk in support of us being there and one driver yelled his displeasure at us. He slowed down as he drove by and said, “Shut up idiot and go home!”
There was another mocker that was in front of Other Mothers (a used children’s clothing store) that day. She also let us know that she was unhappy about us standing for life. I seriously doubt that she saw the hypocrisy of her complaining about us standing for life while she was at a used children’s clothing store. But this doesn’t surprise me, a couple of years ago the owner of Other Mothers called the police on two of us that were witnessing that day.
Talk about the height of hypocrisy and irony. This business owner is so pro-murder that he doesn’t care that Planned Parenthood is killing off his future clients! People love the “legal right” to kill babies, even at the expense of their own bottom line. That is pure hatred for the unborn. It is sickening and it is an abomination. None of the people entering or leaving Planned Parenthood said a single word. They just silently went in and out.
A Lot Of People Saying No Thank You
Friday night Conner and I witnessed downtown. A lot of people refused tracts and/or New Testaments, politely saying “no thank you” or “no, I’m good.” My message was about saving faith and how many people believe the historical facts about Jesus, yet they don’t have saving faith. These pat answers appear to back this up. A driver flipped me off when I was open-air preaching and then a guy in a white truck yelled, “I’m gay, does that mean I’m going to hell?” while Conner was preaching.
But we had some people who eagerly received tracts and New Testaments. One guy walked quite a ways over to me to get a New Testament. Several people took both tracts and New Testaments. A couple stopped to listen to Conner’s message. Later on, they walked past us and the man gave a thumbs up as they walked by. Sadly, a couple of Mormons were out peddling their false religion. I talked about this in my message and as they walked by. I explained that we can’t earn salvation; it’s through faith alone in Christ alone. They just hurriedly walked away from us. May God bless the messages, Gospel tracts and New Testaments that were handed out.
(These updates are given to encourage Christians to share their faith with others)
