Satan’s Tool
Ministry Update July 9, 2017
Friday night Peter, Justin, Jimmy and his kids, Margaret, Serenity, Allen, Aaron and I started the night off singing hymns. I noticed the guy across the street watching and listening. After we finished singing and I was getting ready to bring a message, the guy came over and started talking directly to Jimmy’s kids. Trying to get them to not believe in Jesus. Gabriel the oldest son told the man that he’s a Christian (and I think his brother is saved too) so the man looked at the younger two and said something like “there’s still hope you two.” I turned on my amplifier and told Satan’s tool to walk on.
I told him that it would be better for him to have a millstone tied around his neck and be cast into the sea than to lead one of these little ones away. I told him to walk on and told him that he’s an evil man. He just mouthed off something, smiled and walked on. He was just the first of many Satan’s tools that were out to disrupt the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Don’t Foolishly Think That God Will Spare You
It actually started raining while we were singing and it was barely sprinkling when I started my message about the unsparing God. Had a couple of mockers. I pleaded with people to stop mocking the unsparing God. God spared not the world at the time of the flood, He spared not Sodom and Gommarha and He spared not the fallen angels. So I pleaded with people to not foolishly think that God will spare them because they think that they are basically good.
Then Aaron got up and preached against large churches (yes, I attend a large church), but he mainly preached against churches that don’t use the King James Version. You can imagine, many people were riled up (including myself). While this was going on, Allen and I were across the street and a man walked up and talked to Allen. They had a great conversation. The man was just out walking around downtown with his kids and he appeared to be a believer. His daughter walked up and asked me if she could have a tract and of course I said sure and handed her one.
Allen preached next. He really doesn’t preach hard, but seems to draw more mockers. Probably because it’s later in the night. One guy yelled out the passenger window “God’s not real” while Allen was preaching. Then a guy in a white Jeep drove through and laid on the horn the whole time he drove through the four way stop, pointing at Allen so other drivers would know he wasn’t mad at them. I think it was the same driver who came by a couple of times later on speaking over a loud speaker trying to drown out the preaching.
Offended By The Offer Of A Tract
While Allen was bringing his message, I was still across the street handing out tracts. One guy refused a tract, walked on by, then turned around and spit on the ground in disgust. I guess just being offered a tract offended him. Then later on a guy in a blue shirt walked in front of me and yelled F U. I’m always amazed when people get offended over tracts. I had both arms out holding out tracts not saying anything, except God bless you to the cursing man.
Also had two Black Hebrew Israelites refuse tracts. I didn’t even know that there were any Black Hebrew Israelites in Springfield. The one guy refused a tract from one of Jimmy’s kids that were near me and the one nearest me handed the tract back to me and said I’m a Hebrew Israelite, I don’t believe in Jesus. Like I said, I didn’t know we had any people following this cult in Springfield so I took the tract back and didn’t say anything.
Amongst all the usual craziness, it was a blessing to see Malachi again Friday night. He said the he was meeting a friend downtown and they were just going to walk around and see if they could get into Gospel conversations with people. Another young man walked up and thanked me for being out there and patted my shoulder. I watched him walk across the street and shake Justin’s hand. Justin stood on the corner most of the night holding the large banner. We handed out many tracts and 15 New Testaments. May God be glorified and may He convict and convert lost souls.
No Words
On Wednesday Aaron and I witnessed at Planned Parenthood. I got there first and right when I started preaching it started raining. So, I stopped and put on rain gear real quickly. When I started the message, there were two cars in the parking lot. Overall, I think there were six or seven cars that came while we were there. One point a woman and a teenage kid walked in. I just kept going with the same message.
But it came to mind that if that woman had aborted her son, he obviously wouldn’t be walking into that awful place with her. I didn’t say anything, but I should have. Aaron especially preached to one woman walking in, but her along with all the rest said no words. They didn’t look in our direction or say anything. They said no words walked right in the death pit. Lord open the blind eyes of our nation to this most horrific evil of killing little babies in the womb.
