Rocks Would Cry Out
My friends and I lift up the precious name of Jesus because He is worthy of all honor, praise and glory. He is the only Redeemer. Jesus is the only Savior. He is the sinless Son of the living God. When the Lord made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the religious leaders didn’t like it that the crowd was praising Jesus and they said He should make the people quit. Jesus replied that the rocks would cry out if the people stopped praising Him.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want the rocks to do what we were created to do. Each and everyone of us are made in God’s very image and He created us to worship Him. We are to glorify God. Yes, we are to repent from our sins and surrender our lives to Jesus Christ the Lord and He is Lord of all.
Jesus Is Worthy Of All Honor Praise And Glory
Yes, Jesus is worthy of all honor, praise and glory. Listen to Luke 19:29-40: And it came to pass, when he was come near Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, Saying, Go into the village over against you; in the which at your entering you shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.
And if any man ask you, Why do you loose him? thus shall you say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him. And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them. And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why do you loose the colt? And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way. And when he was come near, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
Blessed Be The King
Saying, Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke your disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
Jesus is so worthy of our praise, that even the rocks would cry out if people didn’t praise Jesus. My friends and I don’t want rocks to cry out for Jesus. We are the ones Jesus saved. My friends and I have repented from our sins and put our trust in Jesus Christ the Lord. That’s why we lift up the precious name of Jesus in the open-air. We are praising our Lord and Savior. Yes, we are praising the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We are praising the one true Savior.
Yes All Nature Praises God
All nature praises God. All the earth shall worship you, and shall sing unto you; they shall sing to your name (Psalm 66:4). O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. Say among the heathen that the Lord reigns: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously. Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof.
Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice. Before the Lord: for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth (Psalm 96:1-2).
God made each of us in His very image. He gives us every breath we take. The Lord made us to worship Him, glorify Him. We are to praise the Lord Almighty.
Make A Joyful Noise
O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker (Psalm 95:1-6).
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:18-20).
Worship God In Spirit And In Truth
But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24).
The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that lives for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for you created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created (Revelation 4:10-11).
Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatsoever you do, do all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). God created us to worship Him. The problem is Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden and all of us have sinned since then. All sin is rebellion against God. When you sin against God, you are saying no to God. You are saying I will not bow down to You. I will not worship or give you glory. When you sin against God, you are putting yourself in God’s place. Think about it, you are telling the great Creator that you know more than Him or that you are going to do what you want to do and ignore God.
God Is All-Knowing
Oh, but my friends, it is foolish to think that the thing formed has any right or anything to say to the Creator that He doesn’t already know. God is all-knowing, all-powerful and ever-present. The Lord is Holy and righteous. Us mere mortals are not. God is just, we are the unjust. The question is: are you still an unrepentant sinner with God’s righteous wrath abiding upon you or have you repented from your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ the Lord?
He that believes on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him (John 3:36). Your sins have been forgiven or the guilt of your sins remains upon you tonight. Which is it?
If you die tonight, will you go to Heaven or Hell? There’s only one way to Heaven and that’s through Jesus Christ alone. For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).
There Is Only One Savior
Jesus is the only Savior. He is the sinless Son of God that suffered, bled and died for guilty sinners who repent and trust Him. We are all guilty sinners. Are you a guilty sinner that has been forgiven? Have your sins been washed white as snow? Or are you a guilty sinner who is still unrepentant, still rebelling against God? It’s one or the other.
God commands everyone everywhere to repent because He has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness, the righteousness of Jesus – the perfect one. Oh, but those of us who have repented from our sins and surrendered our lives to the Lord Jesus, we praise the Lord willingly. We still repent when we sin against our Holy God and we praise the Lord joyfully, willingly. We don’t want the rocks to cry out and praise the Lord Jesus in our place. We gladly praise our Lord and Savior. He is worthy of our praise and we will praise the Lord forever!
Salvation To Our God
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen (Revelation 7:9-12).
Jesus is so worthy of praise even the rocks would cry out to praise Him if we didn’t. But we do praise our Lord and Savior. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain. The Lord Jesus took the punishment for my sins that I deserved. He was bruised for my iniquities. By His stripes, I was healed.
Your Sins Can Be Forgiven
Oh, this can be you too. Your sins can be forgiven. Your guilty conscience can be cleared. But you must come to God His way – through repentance and faith. We are to have repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent (John 17:3). Oh, we are pleading with you tonight to turn from your sins and turn to Jesus Christ.
Stop trusting in yourself. Stop trusting in your good works. None of us are good, no not one. We’ve all gone astray, we’ve all gone our own way. There is none that does good, no not one. Don’t trust in anyone or anything else for your eternal salvation except for Jesus Christ the Lord. Trust Jesus alone. Faith alone in Christ alone. Repent and believe the Gospel.
Join Us Praising Our Lord
Call upon the name of Jesus tonight and be saved. Repent from your sins and submit your life to King Jesus. Do this tonight and be saved. Then join us praising our Lord every day. Read the Bible and obey it. Pray and praise the Lord Jesus because He is worthy of all of our praise.
I gladly join the apostle Paul in saying: This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen (1 Timothy 1:15-17).
