Ministry Update September 6, 2016
Rainy Lunch Hour At MSU
Before I talk about the preacher being punched, I want to tell you about witnessing last Wednesday during my lunch hour at MSU. I preached at Strong Hall (something was going on at our usual spot). It rained the whole time, but I enjoyed being there. This is where I started witnessing at MSU several years ago, but we moved to a different spot last year. Several students encouraged me to shut up as they walked by, but I declined to give in to their request. The truth went forth and may God continue to convict and convert lost students.
Houston We Don’t Have A Problem
Then over this last weekend 12 of us witnessed in Houston, Texas. We witnessed at the NRG stadium on Saturday before the Houston and Oklahoma football game. There were a lot of people and we handed out a lot of tracts. The police harassed a few of us about our amplifiers, even though we were using sound systems way below the decibel level the city allows. But overall we really didn’t have any problems.
Sunday night we witnessed at a Drake concert (and I have to admit I didn’t know and still don’t know who Drake is), but he drew a large crowd. We preached around the outside of the building and handed out a lot of tracts. Some of the guys in our group had good conversations. It started raining right when we finished up. It was a great time of fellowship and evangelizing with friends.
Preacher Punched Spit On and Alcohol Thrown On Him
Aaron witnessed with several others at Southern Decadence in New Orleans over the weekend. He told me ahead of time that it’s worse than Mardi Gras. He may be right since he was punched, spit upon and alcohol was thrown on him at the event.
But even through all the craziness, he said a cross-dresser and a homosexual were both convicted over their sins. They both were raised in Christian homes, but obviously weren’t followers of Jesus. The cross-dresser put his faith in Jesus Christ right there on the street in New Orleans. The homosexual was very convicted, but he wouldn’t surrender his life to Christ. Thank God for His great mercy in saving the cross-dresser on the spot and may He grant the homosexual repentance and faith in Jesus.
Last Friday Brian witnessed downtown with the faithful from Aaron’s church. He said there was a concert on the square, so they witnessed at South and Walnut. He said there was a a great crowd and we greatly appreciate that him and the others from our group being there while Aaron and I were out of town.
(These updates are not given to scare Christians away from sharing their faith in Jesus with others. Just the opposite is true. You may never witness at a vile, decadent event, but you can tell your friend, co-worker, neighbor or even a stranger your testimony. You can tell them what great thing God has done for you by giving you everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord).

We are told in the bible we will be persecuted so we should not be surprised but we are called to go unto the ends of the earth and bare witness of Christ Jezus our Lord.
