Planned Parenthood Was The Quiet Part?
I witnessed at Planned Parenthood on Wednesday July 27, 2016 and the strange thing was Planned Parenthood was the quiet part. A few people drove by and honked – mainly opposed to me being there, but a couple were supportive (you can tell the difference). One person drove by and yelled encouraging words and another not so much. But overall Planned Parenthood was quiet. A few people went in and out and I kept preaching against Planned Parenthood. I continued preaching against murdering little babies in the womb. The people coming and going didn’t say anything including a few workers that were probably going to lunch.
Judge Not…
But a guy from across the street yelled over four lanes of traffic “judge not lest ye be judged.” Wish I had a dollar for every time someone has yelled this out. I encouraged him to continue reading Matthew 7 beyond verse one. Countless people love to quote this verse, but they all stop after that one verse. Jesus continued speaking through the whole chapter. In fact, chapter 7 along with chapters 5 and 6, make up the Sermon on the Mount (unfortunately many pastors read the first 10 or 15 verses of chapter 5 and they are guilty of stopping there, instead of preaching the whole counsel of God). The man just kept repeating the same verse and I kept encouraging him to keep reading the Bible and see what it really says.
Lesbians Holding Hands
Immediately after that two women walked right in front of me cutting across Planned Parenthood’s parking lot and they were holding hands. I’m pretty sure they were just trying to aggravate me, but it didn’t. But not one to miss an opportunity, along with preaching against child sacrifice, I also preached against homosexuality, adultery, fornication, stealing, drunkenness and drugs. After they were out of earshot, I went back to the message for the workers at Planned Parenthood. Before I was finished, these same women came walking across PP’s parking lot the other direction, still holding hands. So this time I just kept saying that we’ve all sinned against God and the He commands us to repent and trust Jesus (Acts 20:21). So I pleaded with them to turn and live (Ezekiel 18:32). Turn from their sins and turn to Jesus (Acts 26:20). They just kept walking.
I’m Gay and…
Then Friday night July 29, 2016 Diana, Elise, Summer and I witnessed downtown. We sang a couple of hymns then I brought a message called Evil Doers. I had a few mockers, but the worse were two young women who stopped near me and started kissing each other (I don’t think gays and lesbians realize how ineffective this is. They’ve done it too many times. There’s no shock value any more). But then they turned and walked right behind us and the one said “I’m gay and I eat _____.” I turned around and sarcastically told her thanks for saying something so vulgar in front of my daughter (who was next to me holding a Gospel sign).
Quiet Night
Other than that, it was pretty quiet. I handed out a few tracts before we started and two guys came up while we were singing hymns to end the night and they wanted to know what we were doing. I told them that I had just shared the Gospel and we were singing hymns. I handed both of them tracts and they seemed surprised that we do this every Friday night. It was a good crowd. Still several Pokémon Go players and several other large groups stopped for a while. A few people stayed for the whole message. May God convict lost souls and draw them to Himself as only He can do.
(These updates are given to encourage Christians to share their faith with others. Time is short and the days are evil. We are to redeem the time. Are you telling others about such a great of salvation?)
