No Hands On The Wheel
Friday night was another fairly quiet night witnessing downtown. Three of us brought messages, several more sang and handed out tracts, but overall it was quiet. Kelly had one mocker yell “Hail Satan” while he was open-air preaching. Earlier when Rich was nearly finished with his message, a guy drove by right in front of him and flipped Rich off with both hands, leaving no hands on the wheel.
Rich also had a mocker that was proud about being a homosexual and Rich called him out on. Sin is sin – gay or straight sexual immorality is still sin, so Rich also preached against pornography too while he was at it. Erica and Diana joined us and handed out tracts as well as Conner. I was surprised Conner made it since he wasn’t feeling well, but he came out to hand out tracts anyway.
Improved Singing
Kelly handed out quite a few tracts again this week. It was great having Erica and Diana join us because our singing improves tremendously when they sing. In fact after we sang In The Garden, Erica wanted to sing Jesus Paid It All, but I told her I didn’t know how we could top In The Garden. I should have kept quiet and just let her sing the song, but it was a beautiful way to end the night.
After we finished singing, Erica notice a guy sitting on the art work next to us. She wondered if anyone tried to give him a tract. Kelly said that a couple of us had tried and he refused and said that he’s good. I walked over and offered him a tract and he replied, “No, I’m good.” So I just held it up to him and said “Take it anyway.” To my surprise, he reached down and grabbed it. May God convict and convert this young man as well as others that received tracts.
Keep Speaking Truth
Polly and I witnessed at Planned Parenthood on Thursday. It was really a hot. But praise God, only one woman went inside while we were there and she left after a few minutes. We had one drive by mocker. But as I was bringing a message about how there are repercussions for evil, a man in a truck stopped in Planned Parenthood’s driveway. He asked me to come over. Out of respect for the guy and because I didn’t want to cause him trouble with his job, I turned my body camera off and walked over to him.
He stuck his hand out the window, shook my hand and encouraged me to keep speaking truth. I thanked him for his encouragement. He agreed that abortion is an abomination and he prays that it will end. I can’t tell you what an encouragement this man was to me. He took a real risk to encourage me right in death care’s parking lot. I thanked God for sending the man to encourage me to keep speaking truth. May God be glorified and may we stop killing unborn children in the womb in America.
