It is illegal to murder someone in the United States of America (unless it is self-defense) and the same is true in most countries around the world. On the other hand, most “developed” countries in the world allow legalized abortions. We can’t kill someone in America unless it’s self-defense, but it is legal to kill a defenseless baby? We can’t legally kill a lot of animals, but we can kill an innocent baby? This makes no sense to me.
On the Kings X album “Faith Hope Love” in 1990 they had a song called “Legal Kill”. It is an anti-abortion song that has very powerful lyrics. The line in the song that really gets to me is this: “The smell of Hell is what I smell and you hand it out with handshakes every day.” I think of Planned Parenthood and abortion clinic doctors and workers every time I hear these words.
In Matthew 1:18 the Bible says that Mary was “with child” of the Holy Ghost. The Bible is the inspired Word of God and it describes a pregnant woman as being with child. When a child is aborted, it is murder – plain and simple, whether it’s legal or not, it is still murder.
If you know someone who is contemplating having an abortion, plead with them to continue on with their pregnancy. Once they deliver the child, they may decide to keep the baby after all. Or they can always have the baby adopted by a loving couple that can’t conceive on their own. Life is precious … let’s act like a life is precious as well. Please listen to the song “Legal Kill” and go to 180 Movie and watch the trailer. The 180 Movie will be available for free on-line on 9-26-11.
P.S. If you have been involved with an abortion in the past and you are truly saved, if you have turned from your sins and put your faith in Jesus, then you have been forgiven. This post isn’t intended to make Christians feel bad for past mistakes. God knows I’ve made more than I care to remember. But if you have been converted, God has forgiven you for all of your sins. He now sees us Christians through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Don’t wallow in guilt. Thank God for His forgiveness and share your faith with others.

Killing in self defense is not murder.
