I Want To Go To Hell
Aaron, Brian, Jim, Jeremy, Erica and I witnessed at the gay pride event on the square on June 18, 2016. We heard many people yell “Love is love,” “Jesus loves everybody” and “I want to go to hell.” The Bible says God is love, not love is love. When people say Jesus loves everybody, they mean Jesus is ok with everyone and their sins, because He loves everybody. This is unbiblical. Anyone who says I want to go to Hell doesn’t understand the real Hell, the true Hell, the place of torments, the place of weeping and gnashing of teeth. They don’t understand the Hell of the Bible and they will wish that they would have heeded the warnings before they end up in that awful place.
The gay pride parade was extremely small this year and the crowd was light. But the crowd got riled up when Aaron and I preached on the square. They tried to drown us out with chants of love is love and they tried to hold signs in front of our faces to distract us. The first time I brought a message, they held hands and surrounded me. But through it all, the Gospel went forth.
Good Conversations
All of us had good conversations. Oh, we had the typical mockers and people cussing us out, but in between those we had some good conversations. I had several good ones and one in particular with a young woman named Ellen. She was raised Presbyterian and she told me that she only believes parts of the Bible – the parts about love; she picks and chooses what she believes. So I gently pointed out to her that she is putting herself in God’s place when she does that. I asked if she understood that and surprisingly she said yes. She asked several questions and we had a very good back and forth discussion. When she asked all of her questions, I asked her if she had a Bible and she said yes. I encouraged her to read the Bible daily and she said that she would.
Broke My Heart
The one that broke my heart was a conversation with a 14 year old girl. She claims that she’s asexual that she never plans on having any kind of sex, but she supports the LGBT community. She asked many questions. I tried to take her through the 10 Commandments, but she would only admit to lying and hating someone. She thinks she kept the rest of the commandments. When I explained that she deserves Hell just like I deserve it, she that’s fine; I want to go to Hell. I tried to explain that the real hell isn’t what she thinks it will be or she’d never want to go there. She told me that she suffers from depression.
I told her that Jesus came to save us from our sins and to heal us. I told her that He can rescue her from her depression. But she wanted no part of Him. She openly rejected Jesus and reiterated that she wants to go to Hell. She said that she’s read the Bible before and she has no intentions of reading it again. At that point I just told her that I had nothing else to say to her and she walked off until the gays surrounded me while preaching later on and she joined in. Again, it broke my heart that she could be so hardened at such a young age.
Along with the mockers and scoffers there was a young man running around with a whiteboard sign that said Jesus loves everybody. He tried to convince people that Jesus loved them just like they were. Then another young woman held a handmade sign that said “We are not all like this.” She’s a professing Christian that just wanted to show the gay community love and of course they loved her. So I asked her if she believes the Bible and she said yes. So then I asked her if she thought people who die in their sins would go to Hell. She said that she wasn’t going to talk to me. So I repeated the question and she stated the same. Both of these people make me very sad. They are running around saying peace, peace, when there is no peace.
Erica, Brian and I left around 3 pm. Erica went back to witness with the other guys and they were also joined by Allen and Jimmy.

Friday Night June 17, 2016
Friday night Aaron, Jim, Erica, Diana, Elise and I witnessed on the square. We stared off singing hymns and then I brought a message We Are Not Condemning You. Jim preached after me and I walked around the square and handed out tracts. I talked to a couple of Catholics who said I was wrong to judge people and my thought was you must not have really heard the message. My friends and I weren’t condemning people, unbelievers are condemned already. We talked for a while, but didn’t get anywhere with them. They both were very snug and happy with their relationship with Jesus, but it doesn’t appear they worship the Jesus of the Bible. They only believe parts of it.
While Jim was preaching a group of young people where sitting near us and they heckled Jim toward the end of his message. Then Aaron started preaching and they really went nuts. I was listening to Aaron’s message when Joshua from St. Louis sat down next to me. I handed him a tract and he started talking to me, but it was really strange. He’d ask me a question and then he’d turn back and listen to Aaron preach. This went on for a while and all of our chairs were full. So I went over and suggested that Erica sit down and she did.
It turned out that she had a great conversation with Joshua. He was practically in tears when they were finished talking and she asked him if he had a Bible and he said no. She then asked him if he’d read it if she gave him one and he said yes, so she gave him a Bible. As far as I know, that was the best conversation of the night. May God save Joshua.
While I was handing out tracts near where Aaron was preaching, the group of mockers asked me to come over and talk to them. So I walked over and asked them what they wanted to talk about and they said this b.s. that you all are saying. So I replied to them that they really didn’t want to talk. One of them told me that they didn’t want to hear about God tomorrow during the gay pride celebration. I said, I’m sorry, but we are going to talk about God on Saturday. Then one of them said, we don’t want God, we’re gay. I don’t think that young woman really understands the truth of her statement, the biblical truth. They don’t want God because they love their sin. That’s biblical and that will preach! There may be a message in that for next Friday night.
Planned Parenthood on Wednesday
Last Wednesday Aaron and I witnessed at Planned Parenthood. It was actually a quiet lunch hour. I shared the Gospel with the workers and pleaded with them to get right with God. Aaron just reminded them that they will face God on Judgment Day. He pointed out that over 55 million babies have been murdered in the womb in America since Roe v Wade. This is a most heinous crime and most people don’t seem to care. We need to repent America before God brings His full wrath upon us. We need to repent and turn to Jesus before it’s too late.
These updates are provided to encourage Christians to share their faith in Jesus with others. You may never stand on a box and preach on a street corner, but you can share your testimony with a family member or coworker.
