  1. Dennis thank you for telling the story of a Catholic student at the University of Missouri, who sadly was unaware that for all Christians, the lower case “c” of catholic came some ten centuries before the upper case “C”, was first coined.
    In other words she doesn’t have a clue about being a Christian first, and a Catholic second.
    That really testifies to the weak Sunday School education some children have been given. I guess we can trace the cause back to a certain rivalry, born of the post-Protestant Reform mindset, that has crept into our “Catholic Church”.
    It’s actually mind boggling to think that she can be a Catholic Christian, and yet so out of touch with the Second Person of the Holy Trinity.
    In any case I thought you were humbly non-judgemental in handling, and in recounting, the incident.
