Did you know that the earth spins at around 1,000 mph? Have you ever thought about what would happen to us if the earth spun at say 2,000 mph or what if it didn’t spin at all?
Or have you ever thought about how a drop of rain feels like nothing as it hits your face, but the weight of rain in an average rain storm is 80 tons. This is approximately the same weight as 40 railroad cars. So why doesn’t all of this weight smash us when we are out in a rain storm?
How about the hydrological cycle. Fresh water runs into the oceans and then they are distributed back over the land through rain. The Mississippi River dumps 6 million gallons of water per second into the Gulf of Mexico. That’s a tremendous amount of water and this is only one river!
Or have you ever thought about how the sun is approximately 93 Million miles from earth. If it were much closer we would burn up or if it were farther away, we’d all freeze to death.
How about the air we breathe? We breathe in about 21% oxygen. If it’s much higher, we die. If the levels are much lower, we die.
What about gravity, have you ever thought much about it? Gravity keeps us (and our things) here on earth. If gravity were weaker we would float away and if it were much stronger we would have a hard time moving around.
We could go on and on with scientific facts, but the fact is that science points to a Creator and that Creator created us (and everything around us). Isn’t it amazing how all of these things works out exactly like we need them to for our survival?
Romans 1:20 states For the invisible things of him (God) from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made (us), even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
So when you look at creation, you can clearly see God’s work and know that God is real. The truth about God is found in God’s Word, the Bible. The Bible states that there is no other name under heaven that people are saved by, except for Jesus Christ. Pease go to the How to Be Saved tab to learn about salvation.
